New game start

Hey all, quick question. I want to start up a new game, but I don't want to lose my current one, jsut so I can go through and do everything again with a fresh look without loosing my cars, and licenses and TG track nurburg nords etc...

Is there any way I can do this?

Only problem with that is that I have all my friends and such on my current account.


If that's the only way, is there anyway to start a new account, on my PS3, then copy my current one over to the new account so I can play it occasionally when I get bored, and have my new one connected to my new account?

this isnt possible because gt5 saves are currently copy protected (as in, they wont copy), but there is supposedly a patch comming out that will remove this limitation.

Hope not, people will download saves with all races gold and with the X1 and max credits. Nothing will be rare anymore, trades and the online community will die!
 
That's bloody anoying. Is there anyway I could simply back in up or copy it to a new account on the same PS3?

+1 , i think the same , if they remove the save protection , i think ebay be floded next day. hope they dont remove.
insted put auction online for users cars. like in fifa 11 , that could be cool.
 
I agree that something needs to be in place to stop people cheating like that but if I lose everything because my ps3 sh'ts itself and I have to start again I am going to stab someone to death with my arm.

And what if your PS3 breaks, will you be willing to make trough all of the hard licences, events and **** from the begining?

I way around it would be...


presuming PS3s each have a unique identifier, the game could link the save to the PS3 Unique identifier. When youu want to back up you just back up everything and when you move stuff onto your new ps3 it just checks identifier for game saves = XXXXXXXXXX, unique identifier for ps3 = XXXXXXXXXX . COrrect, move everything over.

That way people could have several saves on the one system without people ruining games by having overnight 16trillion X1's. Interestingly people are less likely to spend there time just sitting online with X1's if they had to earn it than if it was just a enw toy given to them for nothing.
