I really enjoyed watching that. That video had some really great editing, not overly flashy and filled with drag and drop transitions that no one has a clue on how to use properly. You didn't have the need to page roll or iris flash every screen cut and I can appreciate that. Some times less IS more, and you have done a good job at making a movie that satisfied the drifter and movie editor deep down inside. LOL:lol:

Great Job

First off, great choice for the song. Underworld is a fantastic group, and has revolutionised electronic music, over the years. Also, the editing was good, and good editing is very much appreciated........

Ok, some of the drifts were ok, but as Bustwave stated, you need to try to use smoother countersteer, as well as throttle control, so your drifts look more controled. This would help you to achieve some more aggressive angles. Also, it seamed like you put alot of those clips in there, just to fill space, so it would fill the whole song. Next time just use the very best clips, and either pick a shorter song, or just fade out the music at the end. Either way is just fine IMHO.

Keep up the good work, I hope to see another vid from you.......

;)

Do u use a steering wheel to drift? if so, which one? I havent finnished downloadin the video yet so i cant tell..

Does anyone have any idea what's caused this big explosion in the interest of drifting? for me it was seeing initial D and some Clips of the Trial Max Series about a year and a half ago:) ... before that... ridge racer:rolleyes:

Hey and welcome to GTP.

I use a steering wheel, easier for me but thats individual. And i use the Logitech Driving Force Pro or the Logitech Formula Force GP.
Cant help you out really on what caused drifting though. Havent been here all that long myself. :p

aww, the vid won't load up for me. all i get is a blank screen with 'downloading (file name) and when i put my cursor on the screen, it changes to 'Done'. plz help.

I just bought the driving force pro. Its simply amazing.. I cant imagine how great the driving force pro must feel. I'm starting to get used to using it in GT3 and LFS. Whenever i feel oversteer i just start drifting, but i'm not comfortable enough yet to initiate one whenever i want yet:) LFS is much harder w/ a steering wheel, but i can push the car a lot harder.

Thanks for the kind words and advice everyone. As it says, it was my first video. It will probably be my last as well. It was just a goal of mine to make a GT3 Video, not necessarily just a drift video either. I wanted some variety. Everything I put in was intentional. I'm sure my drifting skills aren't the best, but I'm not trying to show anyone up here. I agree it ran too long. I already toyed with the idea of reediting it so it would be about half the length, with different music, but there are a lot of other things distracting me from that right now.

I thought the clips I used WERE the best ones. I captured over 50 replays of over 30 different cars and selected the shots I liked. It took me about a month to put this together.

I don't have a wheel. I use only the analogue sticks and manual gearbox.

The Viper is flying because my friend Martin tried to take the first chicane a bit too aggresively during a race. We had quite a good chuckle about it, and saved the replay. I ended up using it in the video.
