New GTP entrant, hello

Howdy y'all,

I've been racin' GT since the original, and have sore thumbs to prove it (I have an old Logitech wheel, but no decent cockpit, yet.) I'm now in the stage of my life where virtual racing is about all I can do. Early 40's, wife, kids, and a mortgage, not really a good idea to push the limits in the real world. I'm a Skip Barber alum, of Sear's Point; and have raced in school events at both Sear's Point, and Thunder Hill. First in their Formula Fords, and then in their Formula Dodges.

I just figured out how to register as a GTP driver, and thought it'd be a good time to introduce myself.

I love a good clean race, so anytime you see GTP_MotzMan, or just plain MotzMan, you'll be sure to be given a clean race, but don't expect me to leave the door open ;).

Hope to compete in future GTP events soon.

Hey motzkopf, good to see you here at the planet, if you get the time I would recommend getting registered and qualifying, it could make your experience here that much better 👍

Sounds like another clean and capable racer on the rosters!
 
Welcome and it's nice to see some actual "Skippy" folk around here.
My wife worked for both Skip and the racing school (Lime Rock) and I wish I had taken some of those school lessons at 1/2 price when I had the chance.
She has moved on and I can't afford to pay full price for them.

Welcome motzkopf.👍 Enhance Your Skills is a comp i'm running with ripping_silk and it is really competitive. This race is the Ferrari California at Fuji F, but next race is likely to be an AWD car.
 
I'll be sure to take advantage of as much practice as I can. But due to family constraints, my play time tends to be restricted to Friday, and Saturday nights well into the wee hours of the morning. You could say I'm a night racer; the only time I can devote hours to seat time, uninterrupted. Unfortunately, many times that is when the expert races are empty, and I have to slum it with the paint swappers.
