New halo movie --- need help

Me & my Best friend are making a new halo series - a funny one like red Vs. Blue - we need help as far as some good ideas on the software we need to use to edit it, we need some movie making kind of software. It will be made with the halo 3 movie replay, but we need to have something to cut parts out, merge, that kinda thing.

Too bad WMM sucks. I don't do much editing, but I'd recommend Adobe Premiere or Ulead Media Studio Pro. Oh, and get ready for some work... moviemaking isn't near as easy as they lead you to believe.

I swear by Windows Movie Maker, I do all my editing with it. I ain't no professional, but it's good enough for You Tube.

Just going to let you know: Its a lot harder to make than it seems. I did a machinema movie a few years back for a final project in my film class... Despite the fact that all of my "inappropriate language" (ie, jokes on sexual orientation, no worse than Will and Grace) had to be removed, it wasn't that bad.

I ended up voicing about eight of the ten characters, and did a decent part of the editing myself. Thing was, I had no idea how to use Final Cut (the best program money can buy), so a friend ended up finishing it off for me.

Windows Movie Maker is the best for this kind of stuff, simple cuttings of scenes and adding basic effects, easy to use and its right there plus FREE!

I guess that's my point.. lol. I had some of my stuff butchered by YouTube.. you can't even see any of the work I did, it's all just a garbled mess of compression artifacts. Several years ago, I actually had to put up a page on my website dedicated to a movie project I'd just finished, just to show people that the VFX shots really looked like, as opposed to what they got in the online version.
