Cappucino RM on RS is a blast on Cote d'Azur. 90bhp and no top end means that you have to make up all the time through the twists. Every other car can out drag you on the straights. Great little challenge... not sure it would work out so well at Fuji.

Love the Acura NSX for this, I've got one tuned for grinding cash quickly. Anyone got any other fun recommendations that make it challenging stock?

I found this seasonal boring TBH.

Same here...

No offense... I can't stand slow-motion racing :indiff:

The PP limit was set too low for this one... :nervous:

This seasonal is absolutely great, there is a wide variety of cars to be chosen and enjoy, although you do have to pick an underdog to have some competition.

I'm enjoying this one, gives you a chance to drive some cars you normally wouldn't touch.

Cars I've tried so far:

Toyota Aristo, Nissan Stagea, and for a laugh, Honda Insight '99 :-)

Just seeing the monkey in the tree on each lap makes this one of my favourite seasonals! :dopey:

Send me an FR on PSN and I'll send you one all set up at 450PP.:D
Same user ID there as here.👍👍

Thanks! 👍 Not sure when I'll get to go on this week though.

I laughed when someone said they were going to try a Daihatsu Midget (sorry if you were offended by that) but I'm now thinking that if you could get it close to 100hp with race tires it'd be easy.👍

 Don't underestimate the Midget! Maxed out with stage 3 turbo, full weight reduction is over 100hp (108 I think) and around 430 PP. Lower it (but don't make it too firm), some camber and with S3 or R1 tyres is a very surprising drive. Outstanding small car cornering and not as sluggish as you might think. Just avoid big curbs. :)

Trial Mountain is easy with S3, Monaco I used R1 but is doable with S3 (might depend on the AI cars), and I would have won Toscana (R1, S3 might be better) but hit the dirt an spun in a 4 way battle for first on the final lap with an MX5, MR2 and an FTO(?). It was actually, and unusually, a very close bit of racing.

The Midget does make these seasonals pretty close, but I don't think it would win at Fuji due to the length of the straight.

And as it's RWD, you can also do reasonable drfiting in it.

I did these last night in a completely standard Mitsubishi Legnum VR4 on SH, it was much better fun than it ought to have been - those tyres were SMOKING!

I had the same thought. You didn´t notice it before, because it wasn´t there :) PD has changed something there. Quite nice imo.

Thought it was just me but the intro's are different then

I'm loving this seasonal!! Done it in several cars, civic type r EK, integra type r, nsx, rx-7 and a few more, and they're all brilliant! Best track for me though is Toscana, loving the fast cambered corners.

RX7 was a lot of fun to use/drift through these events...

Did Monaco with my MR2 GT-S in 1:42.65. Very fun little car to take around a great track...

I used the Civic Type R and RX7 - by lap 2 i was in the lead! Not challenging at all. Then i hopped into a Honda Prelude Si, did some minor upgrades and then the real fun began. I was much slower, but this time around it was a real competitive race which i prefer.

What RX7? and tyres?

I used stock '91 (or '92?) Efini RX7 on Sports Hard at Fuji, it was a UCD car and I did engine and rigidity rebuilds - made a big difference. I only took first place as we hit the straight on the final lap. I could have performed better but still wouldn't have got first until the last lap. Had to keep it smoooth.

I have to say I'm really liking the Toscana track in this set of '90s Japanese seasonals.

I finally got to play the new seasonal last night. Unfortunately I only got to try my 300zx no mods, oil light on still, CS tires. I spun half way through the 3rd lap on Toscana and was sent to 2nd last. By the end of the race I was in 4th... I didn't have time to run it again. :(
I have to try this event again, it was so much fun. Also I have to gold it with a slightly slower car. :sly:

Lancer Evolution VI GSR Tommi Makinen Edition '99

Great fun!

i used the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV GSR '96 (P) tuned to the PP limit, was a bit of a cake walk... gonna do the events again using a slower car for more of a challenege ;)
