new license challenge

i am new to GTPlanet, have been over at the playstation boards all this time. i created this challenge over there, but only one person was interested in doing it. i was told there were more people here that might be interested.

so here is the challenge:

it's called BG40 (for B license Golds in less than 40 minutes)
here are the rules:

  • have the cursor on "home"
  • start a stop watch or some sort of timer
  • go to "licenses"
  • go to the B license
  • start at B-1
  • earn gold on all 16 tests (not including the coffee break)
  • exit out of the license area
  • put your cursor back on "home"
  • stop the timer

the best times gotten so far are:

olofrogmorton: 21:52
Ev0 4 drifter: 22:34
powerjunkie: 24:13

i made the goal time 40 minutes so as to not scare anyone away. obviously it can be done in much less time.

if this is not where i need to put the thread, let me know.
 
He says that because he doesn't like the idea himself probably, so obviously nobody else will like it.

I think there should be a few people interested in this challange.
 
This is a joke, right? Like seeing how long you can hold a red-hot poker 'twixt your nethers?:ouch:

See if you can get hold of a guy called "jbrennan". He'd probably need to be on mogadons to get "only" 20 minutes.


This might be the sort of thing required to get me to pick GT4 up again. It's intriguing.

what are mogadons?
i hope you do decide to do it. i would like to see just how fast it can be done.

I'll give this a try once I get some free time, morton. Seems like a cool idea. I'll let you know how it goes :)👍
 
It took me 196 days to do this the first time, so likely it'll be a while before I can do it in under 40 minutes (and today was that 196th day).

And this contributes to the thread... how? If you're not interested in this challenge, simply declining to post here would have effectively communicated that idea.

i asked the question because when i first read that word "Mogadon" i immediately asked my wife what it was since she is a nurse. she said she had never heard of it. so now that i read the description in your link for wikipedia, i know why--it's no longer available in the US. so where are you from?

The Wikipedia page says it is still available here. Someone needs to update it. Famine is from England.

one of the boards had a GT3 license comp a few years ago and, if i remember right, i think jbrennen and turbotom got all golds in about an hour. i believe jbrennan hit all but one gold on the first try.
