Couldnt have said it better myself. It would be a shame if the macbook line went the same direction as the iPods.

I remember 5 years ago when i bought my 20gb for $399. It was something special and i felt privileged to own one.

Now....... every other kid in elementary school has an ipod. Any other guy in the subway is listening to an ipod. Every other mom doing yoga at the YMCA is using an ipod :guilty: you get the point

I know i didnt get a mac for the "status" but it would be a shame if 3 years down the road, every other computer is a mac due to apple's price drops
 
Any word on its OpenGL performance? I'd like to see that extra GPU in action when the CPU's under full load.
