New Mechassault Vids

One of the most highly anticipated titles coming out for Xbox this Fall is MechAssault. Today, in the latest MechAssault diaries, “MechAssault Diaries Part 3”, Microsoft made the wait for the game a bit more difficult with new video footage of the game. Specifically, the footage revolves around objects players can stomp and kick around. The links below lead to the new footage.

Forget the videos ... get the game. OH MY GOSH IT'S AMAZING! It's so beautiful, and the gameplay is really quick to pick up. I even had a woman at work playing a game with me during lunch.

It supports 2 players per XBox, up to 8 players on a network and XBox live. VERY cool indeed. There are a bunch of different mechs with different weapons and abilities. All the weapons appear to have stages of power up. Mechs weigh different amounts and run at different speeds. Some have better armor and such. Buildings are destroyable - even running into them does damage to them.

The mission play so far is neat. There are two narators - they're kind of funny to listen to.

It's a good game. Ask for it for Christmas (:
