New Nascar Not In Game But In Remote Races?

So I decided to do the Nascar Remote Race. As you do you get bored watching b-spec, so I decided to start flicking through the cars. Then I notice a car i haven't seen before in the game. A Blue Toyota Camry with Playstation 3 Written on the Bonnet etc.

Anyone enlighten me as to what is going on lol?
Either my game has a serious problem or this is a slight hint of good news of new cars being brought to the game?

I don't have a clue!

I was unaware that opponents could use pre-order cars outside of one-make races.

The black Joey Logano car is the Gamestop/GT5 edition that was a preorder bonus at Gamestop.


We can't be sure what the OP saw because he hasn't checked back in. I am about to run a remote NASCAR race to see if I can find what he's talking about and I'll report back.

It's definitely the Logano pre-order car my bob drove it when I don't have it, If my bob was an good he wouldn't have won the race but made his way for the exit road in it :D
 
It is 1 of 2 cars that Gamestop was offering to those who preordered GT5.

Yeah....I saw the gamestop car in one of my remote races and thought it was odd that it was being used since it was a pre-order bonus car.
 
I want that stealth McLaren so bad :(
 
had internet issues only just getting back on :)..

that is the car i was talking about indeed but i wouldnt know anything about gamestop offering it as im from the uk and never heard of gamestop haha.

thanks for the information. now i know that this majorly sucks!!

Eh, you guys got the signature edition and we didn't, so you got more stealth cars that we couldn't get. Consider it even.

As you can see my bob has the Gamstop Joey Logano (DLC) and another pilot (7) has the normal version.
This made me wonder what contains the DLC. It is a fact that the car is in the game from the begining. Maybe what we downloaded is a code to make the car acessible. Maybe there is a way of Europeans put a hand on that car (and Americans on Stealth's and Chrome's). Just to check sth. My DLC's for chrome and stealth's were 100Kb per car. What is the size of Joey Logano DLC?

Most DLC these days are built into the disc already and you only download a 100kb digitally signed file that enables the content to be used. Same here and 360. Saves on bandwidth from the content provider.

As Elkay said, the code for the car is built into the game but it is not accessible for any region to use outside of remote racing other than those who have "unlocked" the access code (Gamestop pre-order bonus). The car can appear in remote racing because it is just a car in order to fill the field. If the car is accessed outside of this (2010 BD Ticket), the game will delete the car as the proper way of obtaining it was not met.
