I bought an Obutto two months ago becuse i thought there wouldn´t be a new version this year. I see they done some major changes such as: got rid of the V-bar, got pre-drilled holes and steering wheel mount is height, distance and tilt adjustable.

However I see that they increased the price dramaticly. Costs 700$ wich means it´s gonna cost 700€ and inluding shipping that would be 785€. I bought the Obutto for 454€ including the 85€ for shipping and I thought that was a pretty high price. Paying double the price for those changes doesn´t seem to be worth it. I would rather buy the R-seat.

The Obutto R3Volution is meant to be a "High End" cockpit, to compete with the more expensive cockpits on the market.

The feature list is much longer then what you describe above.

It's a new cockpit, designed from the ground up.

Seat is more comfortable & tilted back

Tubing is larger

Monitor mounting is completely different, and uses telescoping arms.

Monitor stand is stand alone, not attached to the cockpit

Keyboard tray is re-designed with an adjustable arm

Pedal tray and wheel tray are pre-drilled for hard mounting all hardware.

Acrylic tabletop mounting can also mount monitors.

You can mount a total of 6 monitors to the Obutto R3Volution if you wanted too.

The list goes on. :)

Michael, will the V2 Obutto continue to be sold after the V3 hits the market or will it replace the V2, like the V2 did the V1?

Hi Coxis,

These are two separate products. The current Obutto oZone will continue to be manufactured, and improved upon. In fact, it is going to get a few of the features on the R3Volution (Like Keyboard tray design and function)

Price will also come down.
