If you don't know what I mean by the title, I mean different types of racing, but not stuff like "Miata Class" or "I WANT MORE LMP RACES NOOOOOOOOW!" I'm talking new and original types of racing on a circuit, but with different rules and goals other then "Win the race". So without further ado, here are my ideas.
1. Relay Racing = You choose 3 cars (Or however many sectors the course you chose has). You will race against another team of the same class, but may have different cars. The first car runs the first sector, then must come to a complete stop right next to the next car in the "team". If you stop next to the wrong car or overshoot, that is a 5 second penalty. The second car runs Sector 2 and so on and so forth. The last car in line to cross the finish line first wins for the team. Now what about courses like Nurburgring and Sarthe where you have multiple sections on a long straightaway? Well Instead of splitting the straight between two cars, one car will run their sector plus the rest of the straightaway.
2. Motor Triathlon = Like the relay but with a twist. You will choose one car, but it will be fully tuned, or there will be a seperate category for types of cars of this purpose (GT4 and toyota motor triathlon race car much?). Buuuuut, this car will first run a speedway type course with the sand pits at every turn, some sharp, but very controlled. Then the driver will go through a transition area to a rally-type course (It will be road with a reasonable dirt covering, but not a full on rally). This course will be set up like a typical rally course with sweeping turns to drift around. After that they will head to a tight city track with 90 degree turns everywhere you look. The one to complete all these tracks first wins the race.
3. Demo Derby = You start in the back of the pack, the pack will be spread according to what the circuit is. Your goal is to ram the others off the track or into a wall in the given laps. Laps are decided on the course type. HOWEVER, if you go off road more than twice, you are OUT. No exceptions, you must restart. Now, if you ram everyone off the track, once first place goes off road (The cars must have all four wheels off the ground to be considered "off road"), the race is over and you win, you do not have to complete the number of laps given.
4. One Lap "Magic" = If you've played GT4, you should know what this is.
5. Elimination = You start with 6 cars instead of 12, and you do 3 laps of a circuit (Nurburgring 24h, Type V, and Nordscheliefe are exeptions, the cars only do 2) and every lap, the last 2 cars get eliminated each lap. Survive all 3 laps to win.
6. Cluster**** = You have 12 cars, and 6 cars will go forward on the circuit, and 6 will go backward. Everytime the 6 cars crossover, your goal is to knock those 6 cars off the track. You are allowed to strike anywhere. You can choose the number of laps. The team with the most cars left after the amount of laps wins. If an entire group gets knocked off, the other team automatically wins. Placements are decided by Points, how you gain points is below (By how you wreck another car).
T-Bone, T-Bone: 1 point
T-Bone, Other spins off: 3 points
Get the other guy to swerve out into the way off the road: 5 points
Get the other guy to swerve out into the way off the road and take 1-4 teamates with him: 15 points
Get the other guy to swerve out into the way off the road and take the rest of the team with him: 40 points
Send both flying, one survives: 50 points
Get the last person out: 20 Points
Completely miss the guy, other guy spins off due to control loss within 2 seconds of near contact: 100 points
So what do you think?
PS. I did a search, there was nothing even related to this, so don't say "A thread already exists, idiot"
