One little thang I was hoping for with the intro of the SF19 cars would be an addition of an overtake button assignment. Until now unless using a wheel without custom button mapping there was no way to activate any system boosting off batteries through KERS TERS or whatever boost system they running like pneumatic systems on the Tomahawk.

I've tested the Overtake button on the Tomahawk and other cars with electro boost and I can confirm they are all working as they should :D there is even an "Overtake" indicator on the dash.

Exactly

The SF19 cars is fine N all but for a long time now many cars have had pretty much un useable electro boost.

Now we can use the boost on those other cars.

Its pretty darn important and info useful outside the relm of the new updates cars. Sure I posted in the update thread but thats gonna be buried soon if not already.

I dont get the "so this needs its own thread?" on a discussion forum lol seems some think converstions are not dynamic. This is surely more important than so many fluff threads, but whatever this place is kinda funny and semi elitist but hey, thats my opinion :D I will do whatever I think is cool for a Disscussion Board Platform .

It is a really smart part of the update. We actually get KERS and things now :D makes league racing with any of those cars (with overtake functionality) much more dynamic.

Really hyped for it.

Fair point I think its important enough for its own thread. Like even though the patch notes say the SF19 cars are in the update, pretty sure we gonna see discussion threads about them and the other cars.

Now I was under the impression we couldn't really have an all out discussion on stuff like this in the update thread, its for info n so on. So here we can talk about how it affects the cars it now effects, the very different aplications of electronic boost low drag modes and what not. Top speed differences of cars ECT.

Fuel calculating will be vital now. Race could be won/loss with pitstops. Chances of underfueling/overfueling will be higher I think. underfueling would mean fuel saving, which means time lost on track. Overfueling would maybe mean valuable seconds lost in the pit.

The SF19 seems your given a set amount to use from start of the race. Its never regenerated you use what you got through out the race when its done its done. It has its own gauge

The other cars run off the battery bar in the fuel gauge and benefit from regen

Guys I came across this message as I entered an online lobby with the Super Formula Honda 19.

they are all working as they should

Is the boost still able to be manually activated in any mode, or is it restricted to specific zones in races?

I haven't got the chance yet to download and fire up the new GTSport update.

I'm still salty about the P1 GTR and the LaFerrari being left out of this change...

EDIT: NVM, they have it as well.

It's a known bug. There's an in game notification addressing it saying that it will be fixed in the next update. Until then, lobbies have to have tuning enabled in order to use it.

I'm wondering if we'll see similar updates for the other cars that have KERS/DRS systems. Looks like they've taken care of some of them, but I recall the LaFerrari has one of these systems, too. I am also hoping they'll allow players to use both systems if the car has it IRL, and if they haven't already, provide a gauge of how much power an ERS has acquired from braking.

Yes, this is true in career mode. However, I ran a custom race at Blue Moon Bay and it did not deplete. FYI the AI were all in the same Honda SF19 as me, no Toyotas.

And me as well in the Arcade Mode races. You in the Toyota-engined SF19 = everyone else is in the Toyota-engined SF19, and the same does happen if you drive the Honda-engined one.
