New Policy for reporting Bad Traders

NO one is holding the MODS accountable for anything regarding scams.

People just want to warn others about those who would scam or take advantage of others.

It's the right thing to do and serves a valid purpose for the GTP community.

A grief function on PSN is rediculous and will warn no one of anything and therfore serves no purpose and doesn't do anyone any good.

I would think we as members could petition for a better solution than this.

Just my opinion whether anyone sees it or not.

I've been lucky in never having to deal with one. When I first started trading a few weeks back I was disapointed to see the trade feedback thread neglected as I was using this for my first trades. Now it is just a case of taking a chance.

I think your statement is incorrect. On reporting a bad trade, as per the way mods have asked. They baned someone, not only that, they tracked his IP to another account on GTP and banned that one too.
That said, do you not feel mods are here, not to police trades. We all trade knowing the risks, but are here to uphold the GTP Forums from abuse instead? I think they might have enough work to do already, which is already done in their own time.

What could you hold against the mods for a scam? I think that the GTP Staff has a fine line between going over GTP's AUP and following by it. There is a reason why there is a reputation's thread posted as a sticky.

The problem is, if naming and shaming was allowed, you can expect some people to wrongly accuse people which will then turn into an argument creating even more mess for the mods to sort out.

Well, in most cases trading should be easy and safe enough. Either you find a trader with good reputation (check the threads/posts he've made and/or reputation thread) or if you have some successful trades already and want to trade with someone new, ask him to send car 1st.
But if you are new here and you want to trade with a new guy as well... That can be pretty risky for both of you.
Anyway, always backup your save, so even if you will get scammed, you will lose only 1 trading slot. Still sucks, but what can you do?

So there is no misunderstanding, I am NOT blaming the MODS for scammer problems, I would just like a better solution for warning people than the current one.
