Got a PS3 which I use. Am getting another one and then leave old playstation at a mates house.

Questions
I want my new PS3 to have the same game save as the old one. Can I just load a back-up save onto the new machine?
I still want my DLC on the new machine, will siging in as the same email address as my PSN give me the same ?

If there are any issues you think I may encounter, which I'm not aware of, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

For the dlc, just sign in using the same email and password for psn. And for game saves, I almost positive you can just copy them over to the new ps3 using a flash drive

Not sure about game saves, but your DLC is safe since it's tied to your account 👍

Also, nevery try to put your old HDD in your new PS3. It will get formatted.

Your game saves you will have to copy over manually but will still work although some games do not allow you to copy your game save onto a flash drive.

If you have an Ethernet cable, then you can use the data transfer option to transfer everything over to your new PS3. No re-downloading of DLC, or re-installing games, it basically copies your old PS3 to your new one.

Thanks for your answers. Very helpful.

What does deactivate this sytem mean ?

I believe it means essentially removing that PS3 from your PSN account, meaning you won't be able to use your downloaded content on the old system.
