I'm looking for help guys.:nervous: I'm selling my PS2 to a friend in one week, and I can't let him down right now.

I only discovered GH2 a week ago and I absolutely love that game. I'm desperate! ARRGHH!

Is it playable on PS3? is there a GH game coming up for it? IS THERE ANY WAY TO PLAY IT WITHOUT A PLAYSTATION 2??? Aiuto....

Unfortunately, the GH controller doesn't function because it lacks an analog button. The software still works, just no compatibility currently with the controller.

But yes, there is a PS3 version of GH on the way.

What do you mean "lacks an analog button"? Has anybody tried it with a PS2 to PS3 adapter (if they are available yet)?

Nahh, I don't think those exist yet. :grumpy:

I was looking at a wireless guitar for that game. Will the PS3 read its signal?

Whaaaa?? I didn't even know that existed yet... That was beautiful man, thank you so much.

I just bought one :D

Shame you bought one, the controller doesn't work with it. Again, there is no analog button, and without an analog button, the PS3 will not properly accept PS2 signals, since all PS2 games were analog.

You can mod your SG guitar with a SIXAXIS controller. Just replace the "guts" of the guitar with the SIXAXIS.

The thing is, that I don't have the "guts" to do it.

And that also costs about $70-80, unless you no longer want a functioning PS2 guitar and SIXAXIS...If only they could release a Bluetooth enabled guitar.

Also, the G25 doesn't have analog buttons. Explain how that works.

Three letters maybe?

U. S. B.

:P

There's quite a difference between a USB connection, and a PS2 connection.

Also, I'm sure it's completely possible to mod your SG and SIXAXIS together to make a functioning Blue Tooth guitar, we just have to wait for someone to do it. The trick would be finding a spot for the Playstation button, and making it work. If I could find a cheap SG, I'm sure I'd try to find a way, since I have 5 controllers and only need 4.

Someone has done it, that's where I stole the idea from. Although, I cannot remember where I saw it.

I have a new question, and before you go ahead and say "why don't you try it yourself?" I'll tell you that I no longer own a PS2.

I'm going to Boston for a couple of days and some friends have a PS2 to play with. Now they wanna play FIFA06 with me to see If I'm really that good, thing is I don't own a DS2 anymore and I cannot take my PS3 up there because my cousin is using it to watch some Blue Ray movies during that time :indiff: SO:

Can I use the USB cable and plug it in to the PS3 and play successfully with it?

Thanx in advance :)

Do you mean can you use the USB cable and plug it into the PS2 and play? If that's the case, then no. The game would specifically have to function via a USB controller. Sorry!

As for those Memory Card adapters, I couldn't find any man, we got sold out in this area, people got tax money in and bought PS3's like mad around here :( We're all sold out everywhere.

But, you can get them fairly easily off of GameStop.com now (I just ordered one for my brother).

*sighs* , well then I'm gonna have to rent it.

Don't sweat it man, I've already got it from a GameStop in Long Island; I went there to visit my uncle and I saw a GS store so I took a heck at it and BAM! they had like 5 in there....:D

Thanks for the help though

hahahaha, I should have figured so much. I had been looking for them for about 2 weeks, and nothing. We literally have sold about 25 PS3's in the last 2 weeks, people got back their taxes I guess!

I have a question: I have one of those adapters for a PS2 controller to a PS3 console. I've played several games with it before, as GT4, Madden, FIFA and such. But all of those games are for PS2, so, finally, my question is, will a PS2 controller work for a PS3 game such as Resistance, or Motorstorm? I know that the SIXAXIS function won't be available, but will I still be able to at least play with it?

BTW, I don't try it myself because I don't have a PS2 controller at the moment, but I have someone who might bring one, and I want to tell him beforehand if he should or not.

A thousand thanks.
