That is one hell of a track. Looks great!

The length = 5.451km = ~3.39 mile
Avarage speed = 205km/h = 128 mph
Top speed = 327km/h = 203 mph

It's the GP track in Shanghai. They are hosting the F1 Grand Prix there in September. With any luck I should be going. Last month they had a big Ferrari festival there and a lot of the HK Ferrari owners drove over for the event.

todays tracks are so boring, every child could place some randomly choosen stretches and corners on a plain and call it a race track...

This track is designed to be on of the most challenging tracks in the world. Tightening corners, long straights, lots of overtaking oportunities. This track could not have been designed by a child. I can't wait for the F1 to go there.

I believe the last round of the Australian V8 Supercars will also be held there, should be a interesting last round.

Looking forward to seeing 20 F1 cars try to get through that first corner complex.I doubt all 20 will make it throught the first sector.

Tracks used to be a bit boring when compared to, say, the old Nurbergring or the pre-chicane Monza. But I think the latest tracks have been well designed (Sepang, Indianapolis (except turns 9 and 10), Bahrain and Shanghai) and have produced some good racing.

I'm looking forward seeing F1 in that circuit. If it's something near that brilliant Bahrain one it has to be great. Bahrain really surprised me, that was the funniest race this year so far, let's see Shanghai. 09/26/04.

the mighty ring is challenging, not that piece of asphalt...
tighening corners and long straights, yeah cool...the ring has them too and they are not just randomly placed on a plain...

the only exciting thing about this track is that it is a new one...but it looks just ridiculous...it hasn't got any soul...
