Well, for those who started school again today, how was it?

I'm a junior this year 👍 And this year was the most boring for sure. The teachers talked and talked and talked. I got spit on while the teacher was talking. We played a corny ' name game '. I gotta say, I'm not looking forward to this school year.

How was your first day of school?

My first day back in college is Thursday. Gonna be interesting how they've redone the groups.

And I'm gonna feel like the old man in AS chem (I've picked it up this year instead of Spanish).

my final year of high school coming up on wednesday. oh joy. all the CWK I've completed over the holidays.

ahh. If only cwk was toca 3.

I feel for you, workwise year 11 is a pain in the ass. By exam time things are esy though, its a short year.

My first year of college started back on tuesday. Some good profs. Some bad ones. It is going to be a great time with Chemistry, Calculus II, German, CAD and some seminar thing.

Well, the good thing is the 1 month winter break and nearly 4 month summer break. Also, I like the lecture classes.

The bad part is I have about 2 hours and 30 minutes of commuting to do, each day. The English class also has too much homework.

Gah, so weird not going to school....I miss grade 12, best highschool year ever...I go to college next year for my Apparenticeship training, the best part about it is that my employer is paying for it all, and I only have to go one day a week so I still get to work!

Enjoy your learning factories, suckers! :D

Bart: "Now I'm going to miss the whole summer!"
Homer: "Don't worry, boy. When you get a job, you'll miss every summer!"

I'm in my first week of exams (the ones i failed the previous time)
2 weeks to go, then another week vacation job and then school starts again.
I hope to have 3 full days of school and 2 days off, but it's likely to be only 1 day.

School starts in uh, let's see, 5 days from now for me. I'm going to be a Freshman! :banghead: I hate when all the upper classmen call "seniority" so they can cut in front during band camp water breaks, or to win arguments, or whatever the 🤬 else they want.

Junior this year, so far it's been alright but it's also only been 3 days. I only have 3 classes at my High School! :p But that's because i'm attending CCOC (Central County Occupational Center) this year that takes up 3 classes worth to learn how to repair engines and transmissions and hopefully make a career out of it. So i'm excited for this year and how it goes.

Last year coming up.
I'm looking forward to going back, despite the fact i should have finished two essays. :indiff:
they were only history essays.

But it should be good, might as well make the most of my last year, my year of hard work. I am really look forward to going into other stuff after i finish.

 if only...

Well,I've already been in school for two weeks...

Needless to say, it isn't that bad. I'm loving my World in Crisis class, I'm learning a lot in my Golf Class, but the rest are the usual "meh" material that you see every year. One more year, thousands of dollars to add back on my pile of student loans...

I started this monday, and the SS class is drudgery.... we go to class, pass up our work, write stuff, read our answers, write more stuff, and then go home and write 3 hours more worth of stuff.. Gah!! We don't even get to talk. The Photoshop class is going well though, but my math class is full of dumb kids who keep asking me how to multiply... and they're in 10th--12th grade while I'm in 9th.

Ive been in school since May 30th. Sophmore year in HS. Modified Traditional Calender. Ive got all the hard classes.
-English 10 Honors
-Chemistry
-PE 2 (Boring)
-German 2 (Teacher sucks)
-European History AP
-Algebra 2

and they're in 10th--12th grade while I'm in 9th.
problems with multiplying in 10th-12th grade?
That's middle school stuff over here.
The moment you get into high school you get far more 'difficult' stuff than that.
You wouldn't have made it to that grade if you couldn't do simple multiplying.

Well, that's why they're still in a math class that's mostly for freshmen.

Yep, +rep. Although.. I'm like the only 9th grader in it... most of my friends are in honors which I will be going to in 2 weeks.

You Americans with your backwards school years. Sure, the year starts in September. :banghead:

Eh?

Keep in mind that for two centuries the entire school year revolved around the farming schedules, and in some school districts, it still does. IMO, it makes the most sense for kids to go back to school when the weather starts cooling down, and then let them out just as summer begins. Three months off is a well-deserved break if you ask me, but then again, I'm a crazy American.

Here at my "Catholic" college, we get crazy amounts of breaks throughout the year, including mid-semester breaks, the obvious holiday breaks (Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc), not to mention the Catholic holidays that I still don't understand.

You're damn right. But while these guys are jus getting back into school, I'm on my way out (almost). :sly:
