How come the vast majority of the people here is happy with the new events ? Besides the money (ultra low, compared to previous payouts) and experience (same as previous, ultra low), it's just a race with nothing else in it...

Might as well grab a random car, go into practice mode, select "make one" race and there you go, no money, no experience but the same exact thing as the challenge. People are ecstatic, saying things like "OMFG, can't wait to get home and try those races"...

Seriously ? Are the fan boys easily pleased with their low standards ?

"A little break for Kaz" ? Guess I'll do just that, a little break until feb 23rd, maybe even more. I've done the 1st seasonal race (FF) and the rewards are insulting. I've learned my lesson, I won't do the others.

LMAO, I think I have officially lost hope with this game now. It seems PD is absolutely no grasp of what gaming is in this day and age. They have resorted back to their grinding ways basically, as they lowered the payout but allowed you to re earn the cash again. I bet you'll have more fun and money doing some of the extreme series races in A-spec over and over again than this crap. infact, just go online, the payout is less consistent and lower, but at least it isn;t a total grind,

How about you whining little sissies just disconnect your PS3 from the net and play the game the way most people do.

WWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

"whats that sound?"

"Its the WAAAHHH-bulance!!"

This is the "QUESTION" section, I asked a question, so technically, I'm in the right section.

What you're really doing is complaining about the SEASONAL events. Thus, it should be over there.

There an absolute joke how can any one be happy with them. ?
Its like getting a 20k salary then putting it down to a 2k salary.

Anyways, I'm done with GT5 until feb 23rd or even more. Nothing more for me to do anymore. To be honest, I played Need for speed shift 1 yesterday and there's something that GT5 lacks... it's callled "fun".

Anyways, back to NBA2k10, yep, 2k10, a game that is over a year old still has a lot to offer to me compared to a game that came out almost 3 months ago, which I'm bored with already.

So true, everything in GT5 feels like a chore. Everything is grind this or grind that. At least the seasonals before gave you a quick fun way to make some quick cash and get fast xp in interesting challenges. I think they had it down fairly well with the unrestricted method. I wouldn't even care about the seasonals if the online races actually gave you your fair share of effort and time.

Agreed.
PD = dinosaurs.
They go and produce something thats perfect in many ways. but so so sooo wrong in every other way.
Do you think they have actually played any other racing game in the past 10 years?

Well, I've just started doing them.

I'm really really enjoying these new seasonals. Some of the most enjoyable single player racing I've had thus far with the game.

I didn't think much about the removal of restrictions, and to be honest, I have not plugged in GT5 for 2 weeks. My wheel was packed up and everything, and I was spending my time refreshing and posting on this forum in the hope that some patch would come out.

The one thing that's a bit bizarre with these is that events this time is that you are required to own an F1. These are expensive cars, and I never bought one when I had the money because you could not use them in any events.

So now I have no money, and the events yield tiny amounts of money, so basically I'll have to grind A Spec to compete in the F1 challenges.

To answer the main question is because the game without seasonals has limited events, its not really about making more money as it is about having different events, however XP should be increased just because of the number of people that lose their save and have to start again.

^ what he said + I'm tired of B-spec mode now. I've done everything in A-spec except the two 24hr races. In a way I look forward to these seasonal events because they offer more A-spec play.

1.- We used to have 6 races per week, now we have 12 races for two weeks.

2.- We had big money and experience (though this is pretty relative, at level 38, trust me, nothing of these rewards a bit...); now we have insulting amounts of money and xp.

3.- We couldn't grind seasonal events when they were "rewarding", now we can grind seasonal events when they are nothing close to "rewarding".

4.- PD's logic is seriously something to worry about...

5.- As a huge fan of the game, I need to post something positive, at least the F1 races are much more fair.

6.- Nevertheless, the Nürburg, and the Indy are pretty easy, but at least the Tokyo one is much more challenging.

Again, in the final balance, PD gives one good thing for every 4 or 5 bad things... :(

Looks like back to Indy for the grind, I have just done the FR challenge in the Seasonals and won't be wasting 12+ million on a Ferrari for 19k payback and a pixels worth of xp.Does Kaz do stand up on comedy central ?? As these new Seasonals are a joke.

Wow....another complaint thread. :banghead:

Go play Need for Speed and 2k10 then and stop crying. Vagisil should clear that up in a few days. If you cant appreciate GT for what it is then go play something else numbnuts. Quit filling up the boards with this 🤬

well pay should stay low so we dont have people moaning they are bored because they got money too easily and completed the game in 2 weeks...........also bought al the cars

Oh, you are in it for the easy money.

"Easy money" seems to have been the point of the Seasonals from the start. The Cappucino CSR5 event got me into the Supercar Nostalgia cup, and supplied cash for the mods that were made nececarry by my use of a controller. They saved me from having to grind.

Now, they've become grinding themselves (although the rewards seem better than you'd get for other races of similar caliber). I hope they throw in a few bonus race, time trial, and drift trial races once in a while.

The thing that makes it difficult is that the rewards should be relative to the current level of the person playing the game.

With the previous seasonal reward system you could start a new career, do the seasonal events and be halfway through the levels in one afternoon. If you already were in the 30s then the XP rewards would help you get up a level without the terrible grind that would otherwise we necessary.

The new low rewards work for people just starting their career. I can remember when I won 25k credits with the Polo cup and be super happy with it. Now I'm almost level 33 getting less than 100k credits and 15k XP just isn't going to help me get anywhere.

I haven't done the new seasonals yet.. but I plan on enjoying them for the race and don't expect much more in terms of rewards. For leveling up I will have to do many more endurance races and for the money... well... I'll resort to trading and duping I guess.

Should've been posted in the seasonal forum.
