I have been giving this some thought. Maybe this update is merely a temporary blockade. Maybe PD is trying to figure a better measure, but used this to stop a what they consider a problem until then. Possibility? What are your thoughts?

EDIT: Please, just your thoughts on the idea. No haters or bad mouthing, please!
 
Agreed. I had one friend who I sent gifts every day of cars valued above 1 mil. but this can be resolved by sending gift tickets. The one thing I don't like is sending only one car per PS3 and not account (although, I do have a gold chrome now from earning it, so I might be very happy if I could do this more than 5 times a day).

My family was very excited to have a gold chrome. They all use gold guns on Call of Duty, afterall. So, I admit trying to dupe the chrome, and was quite shocked to learn only 5 paint items per PS3. That one had me quite upset. I see banning duping 20 mil cars, but banning something that only enhances the game and really takes nothing away. I mean, how does having a Golden SLR make the game any easier or harder?

Didn't you know, whenever the AI sees a chrome car they shrivel away in fear and crash themselves out of the race.:dopey:
 
I just don't see the problem with the way things were with the 1.06 patch regarding "trades"... 1 car a day per account was no big deal, and a Ferrari F10 for a rare car worth 10 times less but that only shows in the UCD once every 7 weeks... why not? And if you don't want to trade, you simply don't trade!
 
If that were true, Bob should win races easier!!! :dopey:

True, I have tried this many times, that's why my chrome Ford Focus is a Ferrari killer 👍

AI BOB's: "Oh my god, did you see that Focus? It's blinged out!!! WOOOOO, a gold Suzuki!!! Who's that driving? It that Wayne Rooney? Ahhhhhhhh!!!" and then a wall.

Our Bob's: "Oh yeah!!!"
 
I agree, after all, it came only a week after the 1.06, which was pretty fast.
 
I hope they come with a proper replacement for trading. There is an obvious need for it and not everybody wants to waste his precious free time away doing endless left-turns on Indy.

If they just take the feature away to replace it with a proper marketplace they have my blessing. If they just do it to sabotage a big chunk of their clientele, then I think they are destroying the future of their franchise. Not just with this update, but with many of the idiotic decisions they've made in the run up to this trainwreck of a game.

Yeah.. let's see how it turns out. It seems Kaz is a bit upset with the outrage this update has caused. He's a smart guy it seems. He won't dare alienate this many people from the game without Sony getting a bit annoyed with him I guess.
 
It seems that Kaz was upset with update being put out, not with the outrage itself. Plus, if rumors are true, the million dollar ban is already lifted.
 
Its them trying to extend the life of their game. No duping means having to play for days to earn cars.
 
Or weeks, in the case of 20 mil "hyper exotics."
 
PD needs to put in a "trade function" with something so you can trade for cars that are close in value.

Not entirely, because the other thing was called gifting, no one forced you to send to the other guy.

It would eliminate scamming, but the same cars that had been traded pre 1.07 would be traded again.
 
If you are to trade an X2010 the least you can get would be another X2010, historic race cars, maybe F1's - due to the value limit he's talking about.

True, but you could eventually just move down the ladder from 20 mil, to 12.5 mil to 5 mil and so on so trading would just take longer. For example:
I send X2010
I get F2007
I send f2007
I get the 5 million dollar car I want.
 
They at least to find a better solution that essentially taking away trading all together.
