It has been a few days since Thrustmaster unveiled their new entry level wheel set, the T128.
Either for PS and PC or Xbox and PC, it features a hybrid drive (gears & belt) system for the force feedback, and the T2PM, gas and brake, pedals.
Selling for $200 on Thrustmaster's website.
Based on the name as well, the T128 would sit below the older T150.
The good:
The bad:
What you think of this wheel judging it as an entry level one?
My impression is it's aimed more at kids since the rim and pedals are so small, but even then they should do a better job on the pedals as they need more weight at their base to even be usable.

The good:
- hybrid drive for this price point
- plenty action buttons, 13, plus the directional buttons and paddle shifters
- 2 handbrake buttons, placed symmetrically
- 4 LEDs for engine revs...
- magnetic pedals instead of potentiometers...
The bad:
- ...though with only 4 LEDs you don't get as much information about the revs
- ...pedals miss a clutch but worse is the fact that they are too small, too close together, have little travel and are very light so that even with little force applied the whole platform raises up from the floor, so you either have to keep the left foot planted on the platform or hard mount them
- the rim is small at 26 cm / 10.2 inches
- you can't change rims
