New to Hybrids

Hey guys sorry to start a new thread but I'm interested in making some Hybrids. There is one problem though - I don't know how to. Could someone please tell me all of the things I need to have in order to make some Hybrids. All help and advice is greatly appreciated.

click the link above and it'll tell you what you'll need to get. One thing you do need is Maxdrive, X-Port or SharkPort so you can transffer saves from you memorycard to your PC, then you get the two programs in the above link. You'll also need the XPS-to-Max converter. Do a search for it. it'll also do it the other way. If you need anymore help, let me know. I just got into it myself and have learned alot with just foolling around with it.

Thankyou for the advice I'll check out that link, I really would like to put a 13B in a 180sx, I saw it done in a recent issue of Zoom - in real life.
 
URGENT!!! I had a look around on the internet and found a cool piece of hardware called the maxdrive for ps2, it does the same as the sharkport, but will i need anything to convert the files, like you mentioned above because I'm seriously considering the Maxdrive. Thanks again for your help.
 
If you'd looked around a bit, you would have found it. There are no fewer than two separate threads right here in this Hybrid forum dealing with the MAX converter.
 
Yes, I was the one who found the converter and posted it here, because I own and use the MAXDrive myself. Everything you need is already here.. any question you could ask has already been answered.
 
Thank you so much I just did a search for the max converter and found you're thread. And thanks for not flaming me for not doing a search first.
 
Kool man. Yes I have the Maxdrive myself also, but remember, you have to convert it from Max-to-XPS(w/converter)-GT3edit(make hybrids)-XPS-to-Max when done.

Thanks for all your support, is there any way to create custom colors like in that video using the mk program, and can you type in the code for the colour you want for a car that is from another car?
 
I know it sounds wierd but I don't have the Maxdrive yet but I'm making all of my hybrids using another garage and already converted them to .max ready for when i get one.

No. You can only apply colours to a given car if that car has those colours as an option.

The SVT Mustang Cobra will remain red, no matter what you do.
 
Ok thanks I read that in the mk Faq but I thought there would be a way around it, looks like i'll keep my trueno white - it has full tom's chaser running gear. Does anyone in Australia own a MaxDrive? I am having trouble finding one.
 
Can someone please tell me how to edit the settings in mk, I heard someone saying something about notepad and what can I do to make the car shinier?
 
That's what I was stuck on for awhile. What you'll have to do is "export it onto your desktop. It'll save as a notepad. Then you'll look in MK and in the #'s in the notepad and the link I gave you will tell you how to change the #'s and what #'s to change them too.

dirtyness is line 488. Either change it to either 488=0, or what I prefer, 488=227503439.

As a bonus change the following lines as shown. What this allows is all parts will be "bought" that is available for the car you are using as a base. It will also allow any vehicle on the rally courses.

464=0
468=0
472=0
 
Thanks for the quick answers, I know everything I need to know now. I just have to find a damn MaxDrive here in Australia, so far none of the sites have it listed, and I went to two big electronics shops and they don't know about it.
 
I don't have a credit card, I'm only 15 so that limits a lot of my options.

1. Will any usb flash drive work?
2. Can you buy sharkport/xport at the shops, not online?
3. I am running low on options, any idea?
4. I can't find Action Replay Max with the Maxdirve either.
 
What I mean is, if I buy, say, a xxxxmb usb drive from somewhere, will I be able to transfer files to the computer? probably not but i'm willing to try.

I just found an X-port v2 on an Aussie site in stock, I might try looking for one of those at the shops.
 
Could you please tell me exactly what they are called so I can see if we have them over here?

Can you use them to transfer from ps2 > pc and vice versa?

I hope so > :scared: :grumpy:
