New to Photoshop

Ok so I just got photoshop 7, I dont know what they're upto right now but that version will do just fine. Well I've been messing around with it for the past few hours and I came up with this picture. Its a little big, and well...a little to simple. Its my first ever photoshop art and I want any feedback available. What I did wrong, where I can improve, I really want to learn this! well here's my 1st ever project.




Now that I look at it, I already see a few flaws. For example the "Lava" on the big planet is not correctly lighted, well atleast in my observation. Well hey hope someone can help. Thanks!

What exactly do you want to learn how to do, use the program or create pictures of planets?

Well not really, just how to make realistic textures...and well just learn how to make things look more real. Such as planets since thats something I'm really intrested in.
