HEllo every body,
My resal name is Steven I dont speak english normally and At gran Turismo I try to drift since 3 week... Do you have a general setting for all car.Why you not put a camber of all your car??
My caar is (to drift) is the RX-7 RZ, 677 hp aproximately and I get a 8,0 camber at the front and 7.1 to rear. spring rate is like the nonos4me setup but with no particular setting thanks for your help

Good I do not understand very much of drift but what if I can say to you is either that for my taste they are many hp for the car that is ... I what I do is tune up my car but without passing of the 300 hp more or less and this way always has better managing...I wait him to have been of help BYeeee ;)

PD: We have the same avatar!! Tom`s Supra Power :D

High camber affects your cars handling and your tires traction.. too high and you dont get the optimum grip.. too low and the same thing.. its up to you what to use.

Your camber is outrageously high. I never go above 5 in front, and 2.5 in the rear. Most of my drift cars are more like 3.0, 1.0.;)

Talk about your "demon-camber"......8.0/7.1 is much too high. I usually never exceed 4.5/2.5 setup. Although I am intrigued by your setup. Would you mind posting your settings so some of us can give it a try?

my setting is like that
Spring Rate 8.6, 8.5
Ride Height 89 89
Shock Bound 7 7
Shock Rebound 7 7
Camber 8.0 7.1
Toe 0.0 0.0
Stabilizer 1 1
Initial Torque N/A
Accel N/A 35
Decel N/A 25
ASM 1
TCS 1
auto set up is about 35
don't push the car because he will totaly spin

Your spring rates are backwards, and your camber is too high in the rear IMHO.;)

You don't understand. It has nothing to do with preference.
Front: Stiff
Back: less stiff
They're that way for a reason. The front acts as a pivot point, so you want it stiffer then the back. This is how you setup a real drift car, so the facts are correct. I use to do it the way you do, but then I did my research, and found it to be backwards.;)

I prefer it the way I do it. Thank you.

BTW, what method of drifting you prefer?

Well, if you don't want to learn then do what you like, I'm just trying to help you out.

I prefer exhibition, but I have a soft spot for race drifting as well. ;)

Giving a toe out in front can improve your control at full countersteer. Although, I find this only to be usefull with longer cars. Giving a toe out in the back will increase the cars tendency to oversteer. ;)

I can already drift very well, but thanks for assuming Im a no0b to drifting.

I don't think your a noob. Just put your pride aside for a minute, and do the research, you will find out the same thing. I think you are being stubborn for no reason, but do what you like.

I use all techniques, as any good drifter should. It just depends on the corner, and and the mood I'm in. ;)

Well, Ill try setting the front stiffer, but last time I did, I didnt like it.
Well, you have to get used to it, of course. Anything you change takes a little time to get used to.;)

For larger-sized cars, 4wd, and MR, I set the front to 2 and the rear to -2. It helps induce oversteer.

Opposite of that, the car will understeer.

*note* if you play with the toe angle, increase the LSD's Initial Torque setting by 5.

Agreed.....I am highly adaptable to anyone's settings, but it still takes me a few laps to get used to it. It doesn't make any sense to try it once, say I don't like it, and go back to what I know just because I'm used to it.
