New tune from the Eagles. Is there an Album...?Music

Recently heard a new tune from the Eagles. (Anyone under 25 or 30, the Eagles were a big thing back when music was, well, musical)
"Hole in the World"

Awesome tune! Glenn and Don still have the magic!!

My questions:
Is there an album out there?
If not, is there gonna be?
If so, when?

I'm ready to go out and pick up the single. Really cool tune.

Went on a late-nite run to Wal-Mart with the wife. Under duress I might add. But while there I went over to electronics and picked this one up and I really like this song.
Haven't watched the included DVD yet. But tomorrow is another day.

err....no offense, but i hope not....my parent listen to that and its pretty dire....

Anthrax is making more "music" for you.

No offense to you, but one of the saddest days for those of us that were coming up in the late 70's and early 80's was the day the Eagles commenced their "14-year vacation". One of the better days was when "Hell froze over".
For those of you that are a bit more mature, the question stands.
 
actually i am 32...

i was a big fan of anthrax duting the 80's when i was a teenager and other british extreme music such as ND, Carcass etc...

i just dont like easy listening much....

mind you, there is nothing worse than an aging punk/goth/metal fan....:lol: i am the oldest at the gigs..

Blues is the foundation of most rock and roll, whether it's admitted or not.

Even coming of age in the late '70s, I never liked the Eagles. I'd much rather listen to Joe Walsh's solo work or the James Gang.

That being said, in a stunning coincidence, Johnny Cash's rendition of "Desperado" just came over my 'phones. Johhny can give anything legitimacy.
 
But I bet you can sing the outro solo from Hotel California.
Of course, Joe Walsh played it...
I just really dig the way they harmonize.
I'm also partial to that "ballad thing."
 
I heard it also and it rocked. I sure hope they have a new album coming out.
 
I'm 16 and I own two Eagles CDs...











...and I haven't bought a CD since I was 11.

Gil, if you haven't noticed, a lot of the "kids" on GTP listen to older music. Such as myself. I happen to be an avid Rush and Led Zep fan. I love it all. :)

It would be a shame for that stuff to just die out.
Though there are quite a lot of younger people making good blues, and straight up "three chords and the truth" rock and roll.

Like Duke said, (paraphrased)The blues had a baby and they called it "Rock and Roll".
 
It pisses me off when people ask me what sort of music I listen to. I usually reply with 'Music that requires skill to make, none of that **** you guys listen to that can be made by a dip**** and sells over a million copies'. Although some of the music I like is more modern music that requires skill to make, I can easy listen to any of the music my dad listens to (he's 53, so in general most of the oldies) and it's not long before my foot starts tapping.

But I do like The Eagles, just this morning I downloaded a Hotel California ringtone for my phone, it sounds pretty authentic. I'm not one for downloading entire albums, but if I were to ever go on a road trip I'd download or buy some Eagles, their sort of music is the sort that can get my feelings up and help me concentrate and have a good time.
