It would be nice to have the ring or the Spa since we haven't had that track yet

Race over 60 cars

I do hope so, iirc the Japanese GT5p talked 50 cars or so, ended up being 37..

featuring full driver animation

Good, I hope this means they have fully functioning animations now, like the driver uses the paddles and turns the past 180 degrees.

Compete on 6 tracks with 12 total layouts

Awesome, I wonder what the other track is.

Adjust each car’s suspension and tires for improved handling, and boost performance with gear ratio and engine modifications to harness every bit of horsepower under the hood.

Interesting, 'engine modifications' make it sound like you can tune the engine like in previous full GT games. I bet it is just a slider though.
I am not that concerned, I can wait until full GT5 for proper modifications.

and watch them with the enhanced Replay Mode.

I sure hope US (and EU) GT5P features a enhanced Replay mode, the JP GT5P versions replay really lacks options.

Take Control -- Fully compatible with the new DualShock 3 controller, as well as Logitech®'s Driving ForceTM, Driving ForceTM EX, Driving ForceTM Pro, and G25 Racing Wheel controllers.

Full G25 support?! Awesome!

I notice no mention of Photomode that has previously been mentioned

Damn, was hoping for Photomode too. I haven't heard a lot about real modifications either, but that too I'm assuming will be around when we get a full GT Mode. I believe Prologue is the first GT game to ever over-count the amount of cars in the game. GT1 said 150 and there ended up being more, GT2 said 500 and we ended up with nearly 600.

Anybody else noticing the messed up car stats?

Evo IX: 306ps, 1560kg, FR - Pretty sure the power/weight is the X' stats. FR
Evo X: 280ps, 1540kg, 4WD - See above. At least the drivetrain's right.
Alfa Romeo Twin Spark - Where's the 147 tag? The year's wrong.
Lotus Elise: 120ps, 1365 - Why does it suddenly weigh double?!
Nissan GT-R: 480ps, 1740kg, FR - Another car loses drive to the front.
Subaru Impreza WRX - It's an STI!

^ Not to mention the STi is just labeled a Impreza WRX.

Another thing I notice is the Lotus 111R actually has Lotus wheels and not the Alfa's wheels as in JP version GT5P.

nice more cars, more tracks.. i bet the japanese version will have a patch for that.. but now i know i dont have to DL it since i am going to get the US version :)

They better patch the Japan version or Robin will be very angry :grumpy:

They don't have Daytona listed as one of the tracks or the Viper or Corvette in the cars.

That's the Playstation forums that have been around....

Do you want a screenshot of what I get when I "actually click" on the link that was originally posted before you changed it in your recent reply to me? Go ahead, pull the trigger and just click on it, don't be scared.

This is the original link as it was posted. (note the differences)

This is a link to the Playstation GT board.

When you said "Pretty cool.

The Message Board, though, just links to the PS Forums' " that link DOES NOT go to the PS GT board.

Now, go ahead and click on the original link and the link you tried to pass off as a correction for my "error". You will find that they are in fact, two different web pages.

Don't be scared....click. Then say you're sorry.

Just so there is no confusion, click on the link in this thread...

Sure does not look like the GT Board to me, does it. It looks more like a GT page on the US Playstation website.

Hmmmm. Six tracks????? Let's hope the new track will be the Nurburgring or Le Mans. It still mantains that it will release with more than 60 cars but doesn't reveal any new ones. There is also a new message board.

LINK HERE: http://us.playstation.com/granturismo/products_gt5_home.asp

I looked at the website and I counted 6 tracks...
1. Eiger Norward
2. London
3. Fuji "F"
4. Fuji "GT"
5. Suzuka full
6. Suzuka East

...which is kind of strange because I think we're all assuming that Daytona is one of them, but some lazy intern left it off the list when they updated the Sony site, right?

You would think that when Sony issues a press release they would have the story straight, but it wouldn't suprise me at all to see more or less than 6 tracks, or have them count the reverse of a track as another one, or to have more or less than 60 cars...

Compete on 6 tracks with 12 total layouts, including Daytona International Speedway®, London City, and Suzuka Circuit.

That answers that quite clearly.

Nurburgring wont work since it only has 1 layout.

You need to re-read my post.

When the original poster said there is also a new message board, I said, "The Message Board, though, just links to the PS Forums'."

Of which it does. I clicked on Forums in the GT5:P website only to be taken to Playstation Forum's GT section. Congratulations on looking like an ass, though. I'm not apologizing for anything after the attitude you just directed towards me.

It probably won't be the Ring, but just because it only has 1 layout that doesn't mean it can't be that. They could give us a second layout to Suzuka or Fuji over the ones we already get in GT5:P. As I said, I doubt it would be the Ring, I'd assume that they'd want to save that for the full GT5 release but it's not discounted because it's only a 1 layout track, could be 2, 3, 4 or even 5 if they included the GP section but that's just additional information.

We can guess all we want, but in the end, whatever we get, that is what we will be racing on and in.

Great line-up of cars. Such as these.

I don't understand why the hell the GT-R Proto is apart of our car line up. Is it really needed? With such limited car selection they should of chose something better.

I guess it's because Kaz is involved with the GT-R IRL.
If i remeber he had some input on designs and the like.

And i see they're not showing any [EDIT Extra ]of the cars that will be in the US release .
