new update really exists?

OK so I was talking to a friend earlier, and he said that there is a new update soon with 1000+ new cars and 20 new tracks. now he didn't say when the update was, but I was speculative regardless. can anyone confirm this or say that it isn't true? thanks.

Kaz will give us all the GT5 cars + every new Skyline/Mx5/Mitsu GT etc up to 2019
