i like this vbulliten than vbulletin ver.3. its to confusing. i seen ver.3 on a site called initial-d.com



i think this is was too much to ask but, can you guys keep it this way.

its just a comment i thought i had to say because its been bothering me for a while.
 
I'm inclined to agree with you...in my opinion the new default style for vB3 is not very user friendly. However, it is just that: "default", and it can be changed in every way. When we do upgrade to vB3, you will be using a heavily customized version of the software, and I feel pretty confident that you won't feel so overwhelmed and confused by it.
 
So the vb3 default style wont be in the next version of GTP or it will and be heavily modified? Just wondering cuz I kinda like vb3's default style.
 
Well, I'm not really sure how to answer that. I'll just say it will look very different. :)
 
That is correct, I will upgrade to the new software and integrate the new style simultaneously.

Do we have a projected install date for GTP6 that you're prepared to share with us?
 
I assume we will wait til the final vb3 comes out. Right? (This should be the last of my questions.)

Nope, probably not. I'll upgrade to whatever is the latest version at the time our new style is complete.

Yeah, you can't please everybody, so you've got to remember that from the start. I'm just designing a clean, efficient, usable interface that I like. As of right now, I'm aiming to release the new style some time within the first 10 days of 2004.
 
No, the actual upgrade process shouldn't take more than a few hours. I'm just saying that the upgrade should occur at some time within the first 10 days or so.
 
I like it in every way, other than one. I like the names to the side, I dont really like the names, etc on top of the posts. Will there be a way to change that in vB3? I'm sure some of you may agree with me. :)
 
I definitely agree with you on that, F1man. It is actually an option in the Admin CP that you can set one way or the other. We will stay with the 2-column, vertical format.
