I was scrolling though some of the older threads of GTP and found the thread: "Most Memorable Moments In Your Life" created by Jpec. :) And it sparked an idea in my head to create an updated version of this thread. The theme is the exact same as the original. Here are mine:

December 25th, 1997: Got the original PSX w/ my first games, Nascar 98 and 2Extreme. :)

September 27, 2001: My first computer arrived at my old house. We spent hours trying to figure why it wouldn't boot correctly; turns out we stuck a floppy disk in the drive causing it to not boot fully. :lol:

October 5, 2001: First day I got onto the internet, the rest is history. ;)

Feburary 17, 2002: I got to see my first Winston Cup race live, the 44th Daytona 500. :cool:

May 18, 2002: Got my PS2 w/ GTA3 and GT3. :D

June 21st, 2002: My 8th grade dance. Had plenty of fun that night. ;)

July 10th, 2002: Went on vacation for the very first time to SC. :D

July 11th, 2002: My grandfather attempted to kill me on a dangerously underinflated tube :p ; I was sore for 3 days after hanging on for my life. :lol:

July 15th, 2002: Went to Myrtle Beach's Nascar Cafe/Speedpark for the first time. :cool: My friend Paul was the only one in the history of that park to get black-flagged. :p

July 31, 2002: Went to Charleston for the first time; I rode on a ferry to Fort Sumter and saw the aquarium there. :)

May 19th, 2003: I drove for the very first time in an abandoned parking lot. :D

August 6th, 2003: Left for my second vacation to SC.

August 16th, 2003: I got to go to Hooters for the first time in Myrtle Beach. :D

August 30th, 2003: I got to see the Nascar Busch Series race at Darlington Raceway. :cool: We got to see plenty of nice girls there.

August 31st, 2003: Left SC to go back to NJ; when I got back to NJ, I found out that earlier that day, Terry Labonte won his first Winston Cup race in 4 years. :)

April 10th, 2004: I saw my grandfather's 2003 GMC Sonoma for the first time in person; what a nice sight that was. :)

June 16th-18th, 2004: I said my final goodbyes to my friends in Colonia High School. :( *Maybe not, as we're probably moving back to NJ after Christmas. :) *

June 27th, 2004: I saw the house in Avenel for the last time as we started our journey down to Manning.

June 28th, 2004: We arrived in our house to find out the AC wasn't hooked up; I ended up staying at my grandfather's house until July 16th. :p

August 16th, 2004: I got my SC Beginners Permit. :cool:

August 17th, 2004: I drove my car, a 2000 Daewoo Lanos, for the first time. :)

There's plenty I've forgotten, but that's all for now.
 
I'm gonna cut this way short...

August 28th, 1998: Sat in the Passenger Seat of a Ferrari 355, as me and the Driver did 5 Hot Laps on Lime Rock Racetrack.
September sometime, 1998: Sat in a Lamborghini Countach 25th Anv. Edition (Hit my head on the way out)
A few weeks later in sept, 98: Sat in a Ferrari 512TR, and ran my hands across a LeMans Winning GT40 MKIII.
Febuary '03: Met my current Fiance
March '03: Attempted to Kill myself a few times, got kicked out of my HS.
Sept '03: Started at Sped School

Skip to April: '04: Sat in a Lamborghini Mucelago.
Drove a '04 Pontaic GTO in May., first car I've driven.

I know Jersey's harsh (I live here too in this hellhole) but damn, you really must've got it bad.

Anyway, this is my list of things that developed my affection for racing:

May 28, 1992 (my birthday): Dad bought me a '83 Suzuki Quad 50, and I promptly ran it into a tree. That blow to my head must've woken up my racing blood.

May 28, 1996: Dad buys me a new Honda Z-50

Somewhere around 1998: I get Gran Turismo

Somewhere around 1998: Drove a car the first time in my life ('83 Dodge Aries) down a dirt road

July (something) 1999: Dad let's me 0-60 his stick speed dump truck

September 1999: Some idiot in an Escort totals Grannie Marquis (our '88)

Late September 1999: Sell off Aries and buy a temporary '88 Buick Century

November 1999: We Buy Roadie (the Roadmaster)

Spring 2001: We buy Granite Marquis (the '97)

July -or so 2001: I buy myself Gran Turismo

February 2001: Dale Earnhardt dies (yes, this affected me)

September 2001: We sell off the Buick Century

Late 2002 :First subscription to AutoWeek, Road&Track

Winter (like January or so) 2003 : Hear about Initial D

Mid 2003: Subscription to Car&Driver, Motor Trend

Late 2003: Hear about real-life drifting

Early 2004: Watch Initial D Second stage through Winamp. Drifing has me hooked

As the george carlin HBO special goes, What am I doing in new jersey?

sometime in 1998 drive for the first time, a 1985 rusted out chevy scottsdale. pimping.

2000 get an old go kart, no seat belt or rollbars. :dopey: drove it like hell at our 13 acre proprety.

later in 2000 my nephew crashes the go kart into a tree. motor cuts off, he can't start it, and his dad pulls out the starter cord.

2001 take the go kart apart with my friend, and start putting it back together. went to the brick yard 400 and indianapolis 500.

2002 my dad throws the go kart away. :(

2002 i got braces. since aug 2002 my otho has almost always screwed something up to leave something poking out.

2003 july discover GTP. make a username and the mistake of letting my friend post under my username. he spammed like hell and even lied about my age. ( he told a mod I was 28 and that my brother lived in japan.)

2003 later in july he gets his own GTP username.

2003 september levi ( suprajuice) signs on under suprajuice and spams the board and then does the same under my username.

december 2003. since being banned I made a new username. yay.

2004 june. get learner's permit, start driving my sc 300.
 
Nothing really happened before I got to high school.
I hate being predictable.

March 26th, 1999 - Got my first PSX, version 5 (the fun one).
June 29th, 1999 - Got Gran Turismo.
December 16th, 1999 - First decent computer in the house, Gateway 333c.
July 14th, 2001 - Bought PS2 & Gran Turismo 3.
August 29th, 2003 - Driver's license.
September 3rd, 2003 - Watched a friend total his car.
October 2003 - Skipped school for the first time.
March 30th, 2004 - Got my first BMW.
May 29th, 2004 - Junior Prom (sucked).
August 2nd, 2004 - First and second flights on an airplane.
 
1995 - Vacation to Hawaii
1996 - Got first real computer, obsession with PC gaming begins
1997 - Watched a Nascar race in California, this gets me permanently hooked on cars and racing in general
1998 - Got broadband internet access
2000 - Drove for the first time, became hooked on aircraft
2001 - Finally got out of my hellhole of a public school, vacationed to SoCal and Alberta (best two weeks of my life, and this was before 9/11), started high school
2002 - flew a Harvard Mk IV Cold War trainer aircraft (most kickass thing I have ever done)
2003 - Shot par in golf for first time, got my G1 driver's license (learner's), registered on GTP :D
2004 - Assumed ownership of my first car, a '96 Chrysler Sebring convertible

That's pretty much all the high points in my life so far, now for a todo list

2005 - Graduate from high school and move to Ottawa to attend Carleton University for Engineering, get a damn job!
2009 (or 2010) - Graduate from university and become a military pilot
200? - Buy a Nissan 240SX and perform an SR20 swap, get a gf, and more that I can't think of
 
august 22, 2004 - Went to see Thin Lizzy, Joe Satriani, and Deep Purple perform live. This is the first concert i've ever been to 👍
 
May 30th 2004 - got my braces off
August 21st 2004- first concert ive been to where i actually wanted to go and was 5 feet away from joe satriani
august 22nd 2004 - going to see rush
april something 2004 - got my first bass guitar
september 11th 2001 - i remember walking to school and looking at my watch at 8:45 exactly when the plane hit one of the towers

cant remember any other ones as its 2 in the morning ill remember more later
 
Mine was sometime back in Novermber of '03(11/18/03, I believe) when I drove my friend's car into the back of a semi. It caused the hood to peel back through the windshielf into my face, shattering my nose, and left cheek. All is good now, but that's definitely a day I won't ever forget.

Ehhh... meeting my girlfriend, getting my favorite car stolen, moving in my own apartment, etc... Same deal as the last time we did a thread like that.

Oh I plan to. I'm gonna move somewhere where high taxes, high insurance and traffic are somethign never to be worried about. I'm thinking NC.

Your cell phone service wouldn't happen to be through AT&T/SunCom, would it? Mine is, and I get the worst service when I'm at home, or work - the places I use it the most!:lol: Anyhoo, yeah, just give me a call on a Friday or something, and let me know if you want me to come down the following Saturday/Sunday, and I will. If you wait until after August 27th I should have my H&R Super Sport springs installed, and maybe some other stuff.👍

I really don't know the dates or anything of anything memorable happening to me. :/ Or remember if anything has happened.
 
10/6/89 - I was born.
10/6/90 - My first birthday, in Sydney, Australia.
Some time in 1995 - Went to last F1 race in Adelaide.
June 1999 - Started skateboarding.
Sometime this year - Went to the Clipsal 500(Adelaide v8 supercar race).
A few weeks ago - Entered my first skateboaridng competition, got to the semi finals and it started to rain. :grumpy:
21/8/04 - Went to the Mallala V8 supercar kinica minolta series race, had coporate seats.
October this year - Going to the Bathust 1000(It will be memoralble)
 
Date: Boxing Day 2002
Location: Highbury for the Arsenal vs Chelsea game, in the director's box, sat next to David Dein (Vice-chairman of Arsenal Football Club)

We came back from one nil down to win two one too - which was nice!

Come October, I may be adding another post to this thread too! ;)
 
This year's been full of memorable moments for me.

5th Jan 2004: Went to serve the military.
29nd Feb: Got my self a Girlfriend. :)
17th April: Got my drivers license.
4th June: Metallica came to my country. Yeah
June/July: European Football Championship held in my country.
2nd July: Returned to civilian life. Back to work.
16th July: Got my own car: Renault Clio 1.4
 
8/8/88 - I was born (kickass bday, too ;))
1990 - first lego set, been building ever since
1992 - my sis was born
1993 - moved from Tucson, AZ to WI
1994 - first time in a jet, and I started school.
2001 - graduated from middle school
