New Weezer AlbumMusic

Any Weezer fans here at GTPlanet?

I have had them recommended to me a couple of times, and just recently saw them on VH1 doing a music video.

I think the new album is called 'Maladroit' and I'm thinking about picking it up

Anyone already have it?

Well, I'm a big Bealtes fan, so all of my friends always tell me about newer groups, trying to get me to listen to them, and one of my friends told me about Weezer and said they're pretty good and reminded him of the Beatles, so I've been listening to their stuff a little.

I like the new Muppets video too... That's the one I was talking about above. That's a great song. Worth buying the album alone .

Actually, 'while my guitar gently weeps' just finished playing in winamp.

I actually recorded the live perfomance of hash pipe (or what ever they played) from the vma's a while ago, onto my computer, decent quality

They seem to be one of those bands I want to get into but never get around to buying any of their CDs! I seem to have the same thing going with Ween.

Don't mind their new stuff - some of their old 'slacker' stuff was pretty good fun, too - not that it's the most extensive back catalogue in music history...

There's an interesting story about how George wrote that songs. I guess he was told about the idea of taking an object, and two random words and writing about them, or connecting them in some way. So George picked a guitar, opened a book and the first two words he saw were 'gently weeps.' From there he wrote the masterpiece we all know. Good stuff

Are you the 'space' from GTF? I remember seeing that name a lot Nice Mini in your avatar. I'm also a Mini Fan

Anyways, back to Weezer. I'm going to pick up Maladroit tomorrow :thumbsup:

Yup, that me there too. although i havent been there in a while, cause the pages take forever to load on my dial up now that i had to go back to dial up.

Yeah, they've been loading slowly for me too... But so has everythign on the internet because I'm on AOL with a 56K on a sub-par PC. Definitely looking to upgrade that situation soon!
