HEll YES!! Well, maybe.

BY the time that GT4 is going to hit the store shelves, the GT ProForce wheel ($150, was initially intended to be the premier GT4 wheel) will be at least a year old.

I am assuming that Logitech will come up with a brand spanking NEW model to be officially used for GT4.

I am glad I stayed away from that purchase.

LOLOLOL!

You're assumptions are most probably wrong, my big friend Jaguar. Logitech and PD got together and designed the Driving Force Pro specifically for GT4. Logitech released it late last year because they thought that GT4 would come sooner than it has, and now is out to the public. I highly doubt that they will make another wheel for GT4. I own a DFP, and trust me, this is the best wheel you will ever purchase. It has 900* of rotation, super strong force feedback, and a shifter. It is by far the best 75$ I've paid for, and I would have got it for 150 had ebay not been so cheap

I wouldn't wait if I were you...go out there and buy yourself a DFP now. You're in for a treat.

The wheel you see out now will be the Wheel Logitech developed for the game. As far as I seen. Logitech has no new wheel coming out for GT4 again.

I am not saying that the DPF wheel is bad. In fact I am sure that it is the best wheel on the market right now (right now). However you said it yourself that Logitech was mislead into introducing the wheel early. And guess what a year has passed and no GT4.

By the time GT4 gets released, don't you think that Logitech will have a newer better model? I do. Why would Logitech's product development not advance because of GT4's delay?

Err, were you born yesterday mate. The next Logitech wheel is for a NASCAR game they arn't making another GT4 wheel, they only need to make one of them, and the fact that it's a year old has nothing to do with needing a newer one sice it does everything the GT4 wheel is meant to do, what can it improve on over the DFP for a GT game keeping on the PS2?

Why would Logitech's product development not advance because of GT4's delay?
Because this wheel was designed specifcally for gt4. There will be no other wheel released. Why would logitech spend soooo much money on one wheel for GT4, and make an absolute ton of money on it, just to spend a ton of money on another one, and make it almost the same exact thing? There really isn't much else you could expect on another one. What are they gonna do, put neons under the clamps? A turn signal? A wiper control? A dashboard? It wouldn't make any sense for logitech to do it. If I were them, I would have my sights on making a great wheel for GT5.

There is the company...
TSW that makes real race car whels, has a model used for extreme pc games, a wheel wiht a ps2 adapter is aorund $300.00 and I think it will be the wheel to beat.

LMAO! That my friend, is a good one.
But plz don't forget about the spinning steering, you know, the ones that kept spinning even there is no steering input and my personal favorite - paint the whole thing orange and green!

Now who's fast and who's furious.
:dopey:

Talk about a misleading topic...I had some exitement in me for a second there...
No way Logitech is making another wheel. The DFP has already been baptised the official GT4 wheel.

If they specifically created a wheel for GT4 and nothing fundamental has changed there's no way they'll piss people off by releasing another new wheel for them to by.

Might want to look at getting this closed, someone else can report it though, I'm reaching my quota for the day with a fair few threads to go.

Well I would imagine regardless of weather it is a GT wheel or not, Logitech will possibly still release a new wheel, and this new wheel would work with previous games. Can't see them holding production for 1 game.

Logitech will not release another wheel for the GT4 game.

This thread in the link is all about the wheel for GT4, and all information to it.

$75?! **** I paid $100 for the previous wheel, well actually I got it free because my aunt paid for it  Still that wheel sounds good if I actually had the time to waste buying it and using it... I don't even use the ones I got. Maybe I should sell them?

I paid a ridiculous amount of money for my wheel on just about the first day of release here in Hong Kong back in December. Let me see just how much... Fantastic! I was well and truly taken to the cleaners and back again - US$180.00! Still, it was well worth it - what a wheel!

:ouch:

If Logitech did bring out another GT4 wheel don't you think everyone who has forked out on the DFPro just to play GT4P would be so pissed off with them that they wouldn't buy another Logitech product ever again? I know i wouldn't, and i'm sure many others would feel the same.

The DFP is hardly the last word in 'game wheel' technology, there are many better products around (mostly for PC sims). The DFP was designed especially for GT4, with advice from PD so will be perfect for GT4 whether its a year late or not.

The reason for the timing of the wheel's release is, I suspect, three-fold:
- Logitech were working to the original release date of GT4
- there are a number of games supporting 900 degrees coming out. TOCA Race Driver 2 on the PC provides 900 degree steering wheel support
- (this is a guess) a number of Logitech competitors are close to releasing their own 900 degree wheels.

Can you tell me something please:
This new wheel for GT4, can it be used on other games or just on GT4
I asked before but I need to be sure.
thankyou...

Here's the REAL question.......

WILL the DFP work with Burnout 3????

Please make it so EA!

It should work. Cause I've used to Driving Force ( GT3 wheel ) with Burnout 2.
