newb, just got ps3, started gt5 on friends profile, switch profiles?

hi guys, i understand that the saved game data can not be moved from one profile/player to another due to cheating? (well one data file out of the 2 can be moved... the other says no go)

i bought this ps3 used, and had not created my own profile yet. i have not played any game online to date, (furthermore, i have never signed into my friends online account- dont know his password!)... i started playing gt5 offline, did 3 licences, and have been playing a bunch of races, and gathered near 20 cars...

i'm understanding that there is more to the game online, and more cars. i want to go online to check it out, but seem to be shafted by not being able to log in while on bud's profile obviously...

is there any kind of tips or tricks to get that save file onto a different account? remember, it has never been online... if that helps at all...

i can try the console to console transfer, as his new ps3 is close by, and he has not played gt5 yet. or i have usb sticks to try anything involving transferring to pc...

my ps3 has newest updates i think... that's a pain when you have to wait for that crap...

The GT5 game save is lock to the profile it was made on.

To be honest, I wouldn't worry about 20 cars, just start over with your own profile. Once you get online, you can earn a ridiculous amount of credits through the seasonal and time trial races. Anywhere from $100,000 to $1,000,000 per race.

Format the Ps3 and start from fresh,that way you can assure everything is working properly.

Add your new account to friends and send the cars to it
