Hey everyone,

So I'm in my 2nd week of GT7 which is my first ever racing game. I'm actually only 8 months into my gaming "career" at the ripe old age of 43 decided to take the plunge in to gaming with a PS5 and haven't looked back and only took a few days of GT7 to hook me! (yes I have spent way too long researching racing rigs!!!! Even spent a good hour in Virgin trying them all out yesterday but think I should probably learn to stay on the track first!!!!).

So I'm working through the menu and licences and felt I was doing ok getting 1st and Mostly golds and few silvers then sports unlocked and Wowzers that was a humbling experience!!!!!

I really enjoy the daily races and although Sophy gives a good challenge it's just not as fun as racing real people. But the cars are just too quick for me, this week I've got the choice of the F1 car GR 4 and GR 3 races and I'm just not good enough. In the menu races I'm racing road cars and feel like this is more my level at the moment. Do the daily races change it up and add in slower road car races or is there somewhere else online I can find these? The lobbies just seem to be empty whenever I go on.

Any resources to improve? Been watching Tidgney's series which has helped but maybe a bit overly technical

Glad to be part of the community and loving searching the forum

:gtpflag:Welcome to GTPlanet.

I have no experience aboit the current status of daily races, so can't really comment those, but I do suggest completing most of the cafe menus and licences before jumping into the daily races full on.

Also recommend completing as many of the Circuit experiences as possible.

You get more familiar with the current physics and the tracks, which help you later on.

Before the latest update, there were many lobbies to race roadcars, and there probably still are, but it is broken now, so finding them is pretty hard.

You can always check the GT7 leagues page here on GTP, for friendy racing.

I'm sure they have more variety regarding roadcar racing than the Daily races.

look at the top qualifying times for the daily races and have a look to see what they're doing. then with the same car, load the ghost and do practice laps and try to get closer to it.

It's either that or keep doing daily races and get beaten until you get better

Daily races may have slower road cars for race A and rarely for Race B and C

My friend said A races will be slower so I eagerly logged on Monday to check and it was a bloody F1 car!!!

Ok thanks - Will look at loading the ghost and copying them

Chasing ghosts always helped me in the past.
However, dont go for the top time's straight away. Pick something within 2-3 seconds of what your doing now. Otherwise you get to turn4 and they're gone and thats just demoralising.
Good luck .

43... a youngster!

It's a good time to get into GT7, lots of stuff to do, the handling and physics are in a good place, lots of people online all the time.

Race B is a nice one this week, GT4 are some of the easiest cars to drive in the game (much easier than most road cars). Seeing as you're starting from zero you can go out and have fun, the pressure only ramps up when you're climbing the ranks.

Put a big GTPlanet sticker on your car and you'll be given extra respect (maybe).

Thank you - will try and find the league and hopefully maybe jump into one

F1 car is the exception, most of the time Race A is slower road cars.
Ok great - look forward to next week then :)

Getting to grips slightly with the B race this week and shaved 2 seconds off my time today
