Been meaning to post this up for a very long time. Back in September I went to stay with relatives in Newport Beach, CA. They have a few cars and as the guy is a huge car fan like me, he took me on a tour of the dealers in the area. Just going to post up a little about what happened and where we went. The group consisted of Myself, My Dad, and my 2 American relatives John and Roger.

First port of call was the garage, where I met our mode of transport, to the first dealer at least....

The 458 was booked in for a stone chip protection film fitting on the front end so we drove up to Ferrari Newport Beach, 2 in the 458 and 2 in the GL420.
The dealership was amazing, they had some real classics there as well as brand new and pre-owned stock:

This is green boy. The only Scuderia ever made in this colour by special request.

It was explained to me later on that the guy ordered it to a huge wait and the day it was due for delivery his wife filed a divorce and he couldn't take delivery of the car. Ferrari couldn't do anything but put it in a showroom. I think John might have his eye on it though, it's been sitting there a good while now.

Next door to Tesla.

We walked in and straight away the saleswoman tried to do her job, throwing out facts about how fantastic and economical the car is. John asked about charge time to which there was a heated discussion:lol: The guy at Ferrari later on said customers had discussed that the charge time listed is dramatically reduced with the use of any electronic equipment in the car. Meaning radio, air-con, the lot. We're talking less than an hour now. The Tesla seemed a well put together little car, it looks great. I couldn't get used to opening the engine cover to find a black box though. That's not what motoring and owning a nice car would be about for me. There were only 3 or 4 Teslas on site.
Jumped in the GL and headed over to Bentley/Porsche.
One of the first Continental GT SS's in the country at the time. Not my cup of tea but mean to look at.

Nothing more of any significant note was in the Bentley dealership so next door to Porsche.

John inquired about the GT2 RS, they said they'd be getting a maximum of 2 in if they were lucky. It was a shame there were no CGT's. Note the very outdated advertising posters around the dealership.
Nice to see Porsche staying true to their roots.

Penultimate stop: Aston Martin
Rapide and AMV8, which was noisily started up right as I was sitting at the desk behind it.

After we picked the 458 up the dealer said the fuel had been reading incorrectly on some 458's so we went to fill up, the fuel cap was really complicated so John was on the phone to the dealer  20 minutes to fuel the car up. Not that I minded standing next to the car for everyone to see :sly:

Just thought I'd share this with you all 👍

Newport Beach is full of automotive win . According to Zillow, the average value of a house there is $1,500,000. That might have something to do with it ;).

Bit of a revival but I didn't see this before. You're right man the money around there is insane. Every 5th car in some places is worth over $100k
