Hi the buddy, I couldn't believe my eyes when I viewed this track! I live in Gnosall (Staffordshire) just 6/7 miles of the Mere Park Roundabout on the A518... This is ace, great to see some our great local roads finally put to good use!!
 
That's crazy - I used to go to school in Stafford, so I'd drive through Gnosall practically every day. I had a lot of fun making this one so maybe I'll have a go at some more local roads in the future :)
 
I went to school at Burton Borough and my Dad lives in Newport! So I know Newport very well!! I also did College at Stafford College, so which school did you go to?... I think the A518 from Stafford to Newport would be an ace track!! I tried this track btw and I loved it although I'd suggest making the road a tad wider (1m would do it) for the next one but otherwise it's perfect.
 
I actually went to school at Stafford Grammar, and I still have a few friends living over there.

I'd have to see if the A518 would actually fit into the editor with the length restriction it has, but it would be a great road to do.

Similarly I'd love to widen the roads having tested it, but the editor makes you select the width when you first start making the map. I think I chose 7m as an average based on the real width of the roads, since some parts like the A41 were up to 9m wide while others like Stafford Road were only 5m wide. With hindsight, I probably should've picked the 9m option, although I could still try recreating the whole thing from scratch...

Anyway, I'm glad you like the track but don't forget to give it a rating on its overview page. Currently if you give it any rating at all it'd get onto the first two pages of the top-rated tracks, which would be very cool to be on :)
 
Yeah, in some ways the old GT5 track editor was better as you could choose the width and camber of certain sections of the track, the new system isn't totally flawless!.. I'd suggest you the A518 in sections, Stafford to Gnosall (At a stretch) then Gnosall to Newport (or vice versa). You're the expert though, I look forward to further creations, tell me on this Discussion if you put up a new track! 👍
