Well it looks as if the football forum has been collecting cobwebs, so I thought I'd try to dust it off a bit as the 2004 NFL Draft is coming up and there have been many trades and FA signings worth noting. With that, I'll give everyone a few topics to consider.

Clinton Portis runs his big mouth in Denver, gets traded to Washington for Champ Bailey. Denver gains something they desperately needed in some Secondary, and Washington gets something they had (Stephan Davis) before Mr. Spurrier decided it a good idea to turn an NFL team into a college contender. Portis gets paid well in Redskinsville, but Bailey gets paid even MORE in the Mile High City. Was this a shot at Portis from Denver's standpoint? Who do you think gains the most from this trade?

T.O. - and no I'm not talking about time-outs. Terrell Owens may be the biggest star on the move this offseason. Will the NFL veto his trade to the Baltimore Ravens or will Owens be saying "nevermore, nevermore" come next season. He says he wants to catch passes from the likes of Vick and McNabb, would this outspokeness hurt him on his way to another team? Also, had he known Jeff Garcia would be out in San Fran, would he have stuck around longer?

Drew Henson. This name has been on the tip of all NFL scouts' tongues for a few years now. Will he find the right team? Will he start?? Will he win the Superbowl?!?...............will he be any good? Many questions will be brought up, all will be answered in time.

Feel free to respond or add to this thread as we discuss - The NFL Offseason with your host...Naet.
