I was wondering if anyone wanted to start up a racing team for NFS ProStreet. The game looks pretty good with alot of good cars such as the 09 camaro and the 09 nissan GT-R. post if you want to possibly start up a team and post thoughts on the team name also, thanks

i played the demo, and I am not impressed at all. The graphic was average, those who like car customizations may like this game though.

My biggest credit to the game is they have captured the culture really well, the race intro's are done really well, it all seems really good....

Until you drive it, which I would like to point out is shokingly bad, it really is dreadful.

Im sorry but the PS3 demo looked horrendous..... I can't even believe they would sell that retail!

Bring the NFSHP2 dev team back and do some amazing stuff on PS3 please!!!

Robin

The demo was shockingly horrid, but I do love a bit of drag racing, and knowing NFS games of the past this will be the place to do it judging by my good old friend Youtube. Although the wheelie competitions dont look great the normal drag racing looks decent enough to keep me going. May get it for myself this Xmas, only time will tell.

I'm not gonna get ProStreet, played the demo and didn't like it one bit. I want another version closer to the original Most Wanted game.

I'm going to be getting this almost solely for online, problem is drag and drift will be what ill spend most time doing, neither are in the demo so I'm risking it a bit.

first of all how can you say that the game is bad when you only played the demo?
second of all, not all the racing games can be like the Gran Turismo games when it comes to the realism.
third of all i think none of the NFS games have real handling. it was and it is an arcade game!
i liked the videos and i want that game!

After playing the full game on the PS2 i have to disagree with everyone. The game is actually really good. It's finally steering away from the old need for speed underground styles, which albeit was good, was potentially promoting (in a sense) "underground" (IE: Street) racing.

The graphics are very well done for the PS2, and the handling physics are really good compared to the old need for speeds. I especially like the ability to customize the settings even more than you could in the previous games. The car selection is great, i really like that they have the new skyline and evolution.

Not to mention the visible damage and skid marks.. Even if it isnt a major amount. I like how they introduced more racing styles (IE: speed challenge, wheelie contest) and also how they changed the physics of drifting. You actually have to control the throttle and counter steer now, unlike previous games. The controls are a bit odd in some modes (ie drift) but its still better than previous.

Overall i think the game is fantastic, and i'd love to play it on PS3 to see what else it has in store.. But the Ps2 version is awesome.

...Yeah. My two cents. hehe.

i hate the fact that half the people who bash this game are the ones who played the demo, like shut the **** up man you haven't played the full game?

im contemplating buying it because from what i've heard there is indepth tuning and a good selection of cars

Amen!

Try playing the game before knocking it. I pesonally think its a great game, addictive and fun.

why are you guys bashing the game in here? all he wants to know is if you are interested in starting a race team, not your thoughts on the game. and on that note, i wouldn't mind being part of a race team, it juts depends what console i get the game for. and i can't think of a name right now, but i will come up with one eventually.

It has no post race replays. Games with heavy moding, visual flare and drifting need replays. Pass, call me picking but i'm not paying full price for a game that lacks an important feature for raicng games. EA has done this for the last 3 NFS games.

I got Carbon for $40 and it feels like a $40 racer. I'll get Pro Street when its in the bargain bin. I'll join whatever team that has formed but by then the interest levels nay hit rock bottom.

That's the only problem I have with EA, Why the lack of ruddy freaking replays.

I just totally killed a drift segment and I want to check out the awesome, all I can see is my statistics.

Lazy arses.

I bought the game I actually quite liked it. Although after beating it there wasn't much replayability to it, hence why I miss free roam in NFS games. Also the fact that when I had it for a little under 3 weeks the online community was non existent. It was a fun game while it lasted until I traded it in for Assassins Creed.

Well I've bought this on PS3 and it seems far from dead to me, I've never failed to find a game where I've looked. The tuning is more in depth then previous incarnations, and NFS drifting has finally become something I really enjoy, sure its not as real as GT drifting, (or any driving available) But thats not why we buy Need For Speed. Graphically the cars look fantastic, the tracks dont meet that standard but theyre solid to. But I suppose one big thing for me is visuals, I simply love the satisfaction of creating something that other people may just envy. Online is good to although grip races can be laggy, but tandem drifting is pretty awesome in my opinion.

Problems with this game:
- INCREDIBLY annoying announcers
- 'Grip' races, cars can feel unnatural at first but you grow used to it
- Some find warming there tires up every drag run annoying, personally I prefer it
- Tedious speed challenges, i.e. you don't realise there's a jump and dont slow, you WILL crash if this happens at speed
- Tedious opposition, you can find yourself being beaten by cars with much less power, I had trouble beating a 612bhp 911 Turbo in a 962bhp R34, even on the straight they almost kept up.

Note: I said the DEMO is bad not the game.
The demo was shockingly horrid,

And just to add here is my current favourite creation, my D1GP style 532bhp S13
