but its still not like Hot Pursuit 2. The intense police escapes with helicopters, the spin around camera view on each major jump. Those were the days!!

Yeah I loved that 360 camera spin and also that fire thing that would tell you the optimum racing line ahead. The Police were really good and so was the AI, I remember slamming an F50 into corners to avoid the exploding barrels being chucked from the helicopter!

That game really had everything, including all the rare exotics you could ever want.. I still haven't completed all of it and I want to unlock all the special NFS cars with unique paint jobs.

If the new storyline is going to like the movie "The Transporter", that means it will not be about street racing, and instead if will be about killing people and taking care of secret packages. So basiclly, it could be a GTA clone. If this is the case then I am not buying it!

Apparently, there are 2 NFS development teams, one for Undercover and one for the next one after that, and there is another game which is set for 2009. This can only go well...

I enjoyed playing Pro Street… even though there was a giant list of improvements which needed to be dealt with. But wouldn’t it be nice if EA listened to their customers? Over at Nfsunlimited.net (my other forum), 90% of the people there are tired of half-arsed, incomplete NFS games. A large majority of reviews have been very negative… and this is coming from a NFS fansite.

C’mon EA. The ‘one game a year’ method clearly isn't working. Merge the two groups together… drink lots of coffee, and don't go home until you've given as a worthy game.

NFS games are kind of halfassed. In NFSU2 there is a parking lot with a floating light post. And each of the parking spaces can hold 4 cars.

Age-old flaw of the series, as well as many other racing games. It would seem they either design a landscape and then upsize it until the roads are wide enough for novice gamers to navigate, or just can't figure out how to scale things properly. I don't know which would be more stupid.

Tomb Raider 2 on the PS is a classic example. In the game, her kitchen sink was the size of a bath tub (you could walk around in it)... and the tap was bigger then Lara herself.

Eh,I think they stopped making good Need For Speed after NFS:HP2.Dont like the ricer crap they put in games today

I liked the ricer crap more than ProStreet, that's how bad it is. I personally don't think NFS:U was that bad as a game. Yes it is ricer but meh because atleast the physics were kept arcadey. ProStreet is a wannabe sim, I like my NFS arcadey thanks.

Hay, EA... get a clue, just... STOP.
If by "get a clue" you mean "waste money improving games that sell anyway," I don't think they can hear you over the rustling of their giant bags of money.

I will have to agree to that.NFS is or was a fun arcade racer.I will admit i have played NFS:U and NFS:U2 for more then a hour.I kept my rides stock though.:indiff:

Will not happen :dopey:

They certainly won't stop until chumps stop buying the lastest NFS game out no matter how rehashed and rushed it is

Seriously, Need For Speed Undercover? I can imagine how unoriginal and lame the storyline will be right now. You're a tough cop going under cover in the illegal world of street racing and you have to race and beat the best to expose them...

Man what has happened to this franchise. You can already see they admit to rushing the designers to pop out dung every 12 months.

I wish I were put in charge of the NFS series, fist thing I would do is fire everyone and start over fresh.

Drop the Fast and Furious street racing around LA at night and go back to the series roots.

As Dave A said that means winding country roads in Europe, climbs up montain sides in the Himilayas, high speed blasts through the australian outback, and winding roads along the shore of California.

Rice burners can stay but exotics should be in as well. Drop the rap music and go back to the great techno and rock music of the originals.

That's never going to happen.

I think NFS needs a mercy killing now, but people still buy it. Why?

What I said on another gaming forum, on a thread about Need For Speed Carbon:
Were there are the Need For Speed games with exotic and sports cars (no ricing) on intense police pursuits, on long & winding roads in fantastic landscapes?
THAT were the real Need For Speed.

NFS1 was like that.... you had massively long point to point road races on Coastal, Alpine, Tropical, Desert, Urban etc etc.... it was excellent!! :) With the Alpine one you slowly worked your way up the mountain over 3 stages from flat grasslands up to steep and twistly snow covered roads near the top.

Seriously, Need For Speed Undercover? I can imagine how unoriginal and lame the storyline will be right now. You're a tough cop going under cover in the illegal world of street racing and you have to race and beat the best to expose them...

And thats exactly how its going to turn out! :indiff:

The great selection of NFS 1, the exotic choice of NFS 2, the innovation of NFS 3, the improvements of NFS 4, the dedication of NFS 5, and the perfection of NFS 6 (aka Hot Pursuit 2)

Never played underground 1 or 2...didn't seem too interesting

Loved Most Wanted and liked Carbon, HATED PRO STREET!

I also miss dash views like in NFS 3-5 :(
