Awesome. Hope other brands follow this trend. Would love to be able to get some brand new OEM parts for my RX-7.

If BMW did something like this with six cylinder crate engines for the E36/46 etc it would be amazing. I've got the 2001 BMW parts and accessories catalogue at home and the sheer variety of support they gave back then would be incredible if it returned to support the enduring popularity of the older cars.

BMW built a whole 2002 using spare parts

BMW and Merc are very good in that departement with the spare parts. VAG seized parts after 10-ish years...

Nissan doing this is great, as some people wanted to play clever duck and bought bulk stocks of parts to resell them at crazy prices.... GTR parts are already expensive, and those wanna be "investors" didn't help that situation.

This is good news for Skyline owners

Not only Skyline users, but Silvia (S110-S13) users and March (K10-K11) users, too. I really want to see a K10 SuperTurbo, in the US someday. Parts could even be dirt-cheap, if Nissan determines each price for various retro-models. Imagine, NISMO making crazy-OEM parts for the March (K10) SuperTurbo's PLASMA MA09 engine. (Ex. Heavily modded dual-charger.)

Porsche does this as well. It's great to see car companies provide this kind of support for their older models. I hope more manufacturers follow this trend.

I wonder if this move is in part with the recent price hike the generation has seen after being eligible for import in the States.
