It IS the European version.

The normal gtr academy can be traded but the gtr academy special you had to log on and take part in the competition but that has now finished.

I have the Nissan GT-R SpecV (GT Academy Version) '09 in My garage and can trade.

It is not a DLC one, it's the won you win from Golding the S licence. Is that the one you are after?
