I'm surprised no one has suggested this yet!

EDIT: Apparently someone already mentioned the 1998 version.

But, I'm suggesting the 1999 version so.....

That's fine. I prefer Aiello, but this is still my favorite(next to the Accord) BTCC machine.

I am suggesting an entire 1998 season, because there were many manufacturers involved
Someone already suggested all the cars from the 1998 season, but i forgot who :dunce:

LATE EDIT: @karelpipa was the person who suggested all the cars from the 1998 season!

The thing is, Super Touring cars are enjoying a renaissance in terms of popularity in historic racing circles. There are well maintained examples of almost all the cars ever made so assuming they could get the licences (they've had it sort of for the racing mods in GT2) then they'd have a perfect pick of the cars to test, record sounds, etc.

I wouldn't want them in unless the sounds are spot on though. Nothing quite sounded as good as those cars when they're screaming down a straight.

For those interested, there is a website here:

http://www.supertouringregister.com/

That tracks the whereabouts of the cars and the current news regarding races and so on.

This group on Facebook tends to have lots of news and many of the members own and run the cars too. A few ex drivers are on as well.

I would absolutely welcome these cars in though, my favourite racing series growing up as a kid. Went to BTCC at Oulton Park in 1999 as well and it was amazing.
