I can't count how often I have found on forums "Why not rally a Skyline?". Because it is bloody useless! Err, no, now I am lying to myself - I love the Skyline way too much to leave it at this. I personally rate the Nissan Skyline the most beautiful and technically interesting car that ever came out of Japan! However I doubt it is suitable for rallying. It just is too big and especially too heavy. It is a motorway racer and although its handling might be very good, it is not designed for bumpy, curvy roads. On top of all this, the 2.6 6-cylinder engine with 2 turbo chargers sounds intriguing, but 280BHP can be reached with a lighter, less complicated turbo engine.

In 1990 later Nissan Sunny GTI-R groupN regular Hiroshi Nishiyama put the idea to the test and immediately got the FIA into trouble. The well working idea of using turbo air restrictors was still relatively fresh, a 40mm air restrictor was the norm for groupN in 1990, but with a twin turbo, 40mm air restrictors wouldn't harm in the slightest. Especially for this car the FIA created an appendix to the air restrictor rule over night, demanding cars with 2 turbos to have 28mm restrictors!

Hiroshi entered the Skyline in the Tour de Corse 1990. He finished a disappointing 46th overall and the car was never seen again. The point was proven, that the Skyline is not suitable for rallying. However, we have to give the Skyline, that Hiroshi choose the worst event for it. We have never seen a Skyline on gravel, but the Tour de Corse is about the slowest, narrowest, bumpiest, hilliest and twistiest event of the whole calendar. I doubt the Skyline could have turned into a rally winner, but I am confident it would have been better than 46th on any other event. (There actually was one entry in the Rally Acropolis, however that ended in retirement and it only had a small 4-cylinder engine, not in the Skyline spirit.)

Holy title, Batman.

So...

You say it only raced once, but you've got two guys' names in the title. In addition, you've got one guy's name twice. In addition you've got his name listed with his names written two different ways.

And it's rather disappointing that you've lifted all of the description from another site without any attribution whatsoever.

I have literally no words. How has it taken four attempts to still have this basic information wrong?
Which doesn't explain why you've then put his name backwards as the driver.
