Rules / Penalties

Use your common sense when racing. Avoid contact as much as possible. GTP OLR Rules apply here. I would however, like to omit one rule:
4D

If you are caught cheating, you will be punished accordingly. Depending on the severity of the misconduct, 1 to 60 seconds will be added to your time as a penalty, as well as a points deduction. Continuous cheating will result in you getting kicked from the championship. Racers may PRIVATELY report to me about any cheating. Note that only when you damage somebody's car, does it count as a hit, and therefore you WILL be given a penalty.

Racing Schedule

All races are on Saturdays! Lobbies open at 4:30PM Pacific Standard Time (GMT -8). Qualification rounds start at 4:45PM and will end depending on the length of the track. Races start after the end of qualifications end at around 6:15 PST. The race itself should be around 60 minutes long.

Pre-Season Race (December 17): TBA
Race 1 (December 24): TBA
Race 2 (December 31): TBA
Race 3 (January 7): TBA
Race 4 (January 14): TBA
Race 5 (January 21): TBA

In The Lobby

All drivers are expected to treat each other with respect. No mics will be allowed at any times, so it is recommended that you have your wireless keypad for quick typing. Drivers are not to enter the track until they receive permission from the race steward (me).

Drivers are also to return to the pits prior to the start of a race. This reduces lag before the race.

Racing Configuration

1. Practice Rounds
Until the race beings, you may practice for a little while in the lobby.

2. Qualifying Race
This is a race that determines your starting position on the grid. The number of laps depend on the length of the track. If you are absent for qualifications, you will grid last.

3. Race
The first lap will be a parade lap where you can warm your tires up. Maximum speed is 120 km/h (~75 mph). The lead car will act as a pace car. Therefore, a 18 lap race for example will be 19 laps long. After the first lap, the race is on! There is one mandatory pit!

Drivers are allowed to skip Practice and Qualification rounds if they need to, but must start at the back.

Should anyone get disconnected from the race, they will have to miss the rest of the race.

Results

Being the heat winner does not mean that you will win the race. I will review the races myself afterwards and check for any misconduct. If you place 3rd or above overall in the championship, you will receive a prize.
