Going through some of the cars we've seen in GT4 at E3, I've noticed some mistakes that hopefully will be corrected by November:

I'm really beginning to think they're putting Caribra in there on purpose as a joke...

This is not a CLK-GTR. The CLK-GTRs were run in 1997, this car is clearly listed as a 1998. Not only that, but the body is wrong, this is in fact a CLK-LM.

For reference:
clk11.jpg

'97 CLK-GTR (notice the headlights, the front spoiler, and the air scoop on the roof)

clk2.jpg

'98 CLK-LM. Also notice that this particular car (the first one) is #2, sponsered by D2, has the red mirrors, and running in FIA GT, meaning this is most likely the car actually in the game.

You are over reacting!;)

The word -caribra wasn't a big mistake same thing with the CKL-GTR , they just forgot the 's'. But I don't want to criticize GT4. Eveybody make mistakes ;)

The S? The word is Calibra, it even says so in the top right of the screen, but at the bottom it says Caribra..

The Caribra mistake was done in GT3 too, the CLK-GTR is as The359 said actually a CLK-LM but if they arn't rectified by the games release they arn't going to lessen the experience.

I believe the Caribra mistake was in GT2 as well..

Agrre 👍

Actually it's the scoop on the hood that gives the CLK-LM away, not the roof.

And if you look closely, the '00 Camaro SS is still rated at 258 lb.ft. of torque and the '71 Cuda is labeled as a Six-Pack when it should be a Six-Barrel.

Also someone pointed out in another thread, the '03 Dodge SRT-4 is rated at 230hp, but they didn't change the engine to 230hp until '04.

Sorta on topic but one little thing that I didn't like about GT3 was the tail pipes. I hope those are fixed or look better and more realistic. After seeing the first half of the first page in the "E3 2004 DEMO CAR PICS!! (304 pics BEWARE)" I almost don't want to look any more! Don't get me wrong it's just like someone telling me the plot of a kickass movie even before I get to see it (not to mention I'm on dial-up :banghead:  ). I can say like every GT game so far disappointment is impossible.

Since you want to know why the Japanese spell Calibra Caribra, ask Famine. He knows.

He gave the reason once before, but I forgot what it is.

Try saying Calibra with a jpn accent.

I know they switch their Ls with Rs, but still, it even says CALIBRA right there on the exact same screen, you think they'd be able to still spell it right :p

Welcome to ****ty wok, take order prease.

WHAT THE AIR SCOOPS WRONG!!!! I'm not buying GT4 now! PFTTT!!!

The title of the thread pretty much shot down any sarcasm you can throw at The359.

What air scoops wrong? If you mean the one on the CLK-GTR than it's correct, it's the name of the car thats wrong it should be the CLK-LM.

They probably won't fix this one since it carries over from GT3.

This Evo 6 is a GSR model, which should have fog lights.

I think they are there, they're just covered.

Which reminds me of another mistake I noticed:

e3gt458.jpg

Top says Evo 8, the bottom says Evo 7 (picture shows an Evo 8)

Heh, as much money Sony has they cant pay E3 oficials to post pone it a week for corrections. :) . Everything "should" be fixed for shipping and hopefully we wont see any "Nomal" races

I prefer the GTR, the bonnet's too low on the LM on the looks side of things, but it was faster than the GTR.

i like the look of the GTR better also

I do too personally but I won't mind, honestly I don't think I'd be racing the CLK-GTR much unless there's another Merc championship (likely), it'll just be nice to see it out there on the circuit against me.

There's another thought for arcade mode: the ability to pick your opponents, instead of just a random class based assignment.
