I'm looking for some guidance on using Nitrous in the special event.

I'm guessing that the following are good applications, but I have no extended nitrous experience.
  • When the time for a segment is running out, to avoid the slowdown or termination of the event.
  • In an overtaking opportunity where the space available to overtake is running out.
  • At the start of a long fast section to get up to speed quickly and carry that speed for longer.
Am I on the right path here?

All of the above, especially in the first 2 trials. The 3rd one is trickier because the Ferrari is fast enough, so nitrous isn't really necessary, just a smooth line & earlier braking for the sharper corners. Good luck. 👍

Don't forget on the lower powered cars to give it a squirt when going up hills to prevent rpm drop, if you notice the engine struggling at any part of the rev range then give it some gas there as well to compensate. 👍

When TCS is off (it had better be because it slows you down) you can in low gears or where there's not a lot of grip, tap it instead.

I mainly used it for going up hills and along longer straights. Its not always best to use it on shorter straights and during overtaking as it can make it more difficult to judge braking distances, although saying that with0 the 500 and Scirocco its not so much of an issue.

Personally I use it off the line, to overtake cars that are sus with driving lines, at jump and speed traps, uphills and to recover any slight mishaps. I use it sparingly so I always have a lil something at the end. Over 2 mil for both 500 (2.6) and sirocco (2.2) will be going back to revisit the GTO shortly to do the same.

Especially with the Abarth, I used it a LOT on the uphill sections. And when passing, that's definitely a good place for it. But I agree with @sayba2th in that you need to make sure you have a bit left in case you mess up or lose time etc. I haven't even bothered trying the Scirocco yet because it pays quite a lot, and my login bonuses are only at like 150%, and I'm trying to make as much credits as I can.
