Is anyone else having this prob? I have raced in both A-spec and B-spec modes and starting off got points for my wins in A-spec...now when racing in A-spec it either doesn't give me anything for winning or it gives me a better B-spec rating...haven't had the game that long so am I missing something here?

I dont think you will receive any A-spec points once you switched to B-spec during a pit stop. You just have to race yourself to get the A-spec points.

That is correct. It has to be all A-spec to get any A-spec points.

Does it have to be all Bspec to get Bspec points?

No, strangely enough. If you do just one session of B-spec you get no A-spec points but you do get the B-spec points... Just not sure if you get the same number that you would get if you did the whole thing in B-spec. I'd guess not as the b-spec points are based on the b-spec driver's "experience". Maybe somebody knows for sure.

Oh, heck, I didn't realize he was talking about within a single race. If I had understood that I never would have approved the thread!

You also will not get any A-spec points if you have won more points the previous time you have run a particular race.

For example (assuming it was totally in A-spec), say you have raced the first Sunday Cup race the first time and won 50 points. Next time you race it was for 45. You will not gain any additional points. If you raced again after winning 50 and you won but this time it was for 60 you will only get the additional 10 not the total 60.

All races have a MAX of 200 points total to gain except Mission Hall which is 250.

That's very true. you also can check the A-spec points you have previously owned from the start line-up menu of each race. There will be something saying "The Highest A-specs Points ..."

I wasn't referring 2 a single race...for example I will race 2 or 3 entire races in B-spec then maybe a race or 2 entirely in A-spec...when I race the entire race in A-spec it still won't give me any A-spec points for winning and sometimes it improves my B-spec rating...how can that be?

You also can't get A-Spec/B-Spec points if it's in a World Courses or Street for example.
Your half right. No, you cannot get any additional Aspec points in the World Courses etc, but however, this is the primary training ground most use to train their Bspec driver. These areas are the easiest way to systematically race every course in both directions with the various groups of cars.
