I accidentally flipped over at Trial Mountain Speedway and was surprised what was under my car. It looked all plastic? No exhaust no nothing? Look.

Because racecar.

Racing car "Flat Floor", is it not?
Because racecar.
Those are fairly standard aerodynamic features of racing cars.
Some cars don't , oddly its the one's that have fully detailed underbelly's in photo mode.

Hmm ok then guys, guess I learned something new about the underbelly of race cars! Thanks for pointing this out to me. Admin may now close this thread if they please.

This is one factor that Polyphony Digital does not have to worry about. Undercarriages are too little of a feature in the game to be considered a necessity for detail.

Underbelly may not be important but why not fix inside or backside of wheels at least?
I'm not sure what exactly you mean by the inside, but the backside blends in with the situation of the undercarriage. The backside of the wheels are not visible, neither by photo mode, which is a factor to ignore.

I mentioned the backside of the wheels as they appear when the underbelly is exposed. They (the wheels) are blocked out so you can't see through them. Yes, a factor like the underbelly, which is not visible under normal viewing but none the less it is exposed (the lack of detail).

It was just a thought or observation. Not my intention to text(?) down to you.

Especially since the physics of the game don't usually allow rollovers...even when a rollover is exactly what would happen in reality. But then this isn't a simulator...oh wait!

well the GT6 does allow for rollovers, almost as easily as Forza might I add.

In response to the OP...ever tried rolling over a old Mustang Mach 1 with Semi-racing exhaust? There's a lovely detailed underbelly on that one hehe

Well you certainly notice it in gameplay if you happen to flip the car. You could also see it pretty clearly on the Formula GT in GT5, they fixed it in GT6 by actually giving it hubs/rims.

It seems like a weird shortcut when you have something like the X-Bow with a lot of detail and proper wheels, since they're exposed.
