Does anyone miss having the odometer in your HUD? I for one do and was wondering if others felt the same. Maybe something to bring back in a future update or even GT6. It's very well possible that I unknowingly have it turned off. Also, I just recently turned off the driver name list as it blocks the view of the track. Took me 6 months to realize that. So what else are we missing or don't need? A more customizable HUD or good as is?

I do miss it indeed.

PD claimed that they tried to reduce the amount of information being given while driving to reduce distraction. I... Don't think they accomplished that. :sly:

Lol! Touché

Odometer doesn't make me go faster, so hopefully PD saved me a few grams of useless weight.

Plus my wife showed me how to tell when it's time to change the oil. Apparently there's a light.

I'd personally like it if the tachometer scaled properly like it did in every other game in the series.

That I haven't noticed. I have the full HUD up, but I listen to the engine rather than watch the tach. I'll check that out tonight.

I miss having the odometer and the trip meter together like they were in GT3. It's nice knowing the total mileage and all, but it was fun to see if 200 mile endurance races were really 200 miles long. :D

Some cars actually have working odometers in the interior view, but not all of us have 50 inch TV's so we can actually read the numbers. :ouch:

Does your engine rev to 5100 RPM? Good. The tach goes to 9000 RPM.

Does your engine rev to 8100 RPM? Good. The tach goes to 12,000 RPM.

Not to be picky, but before an endurance race you can check your cars total mileage, and check it afterwards and compare... ;)

I thought it was convenient to just look down and see how many miles were on the vehicle during a race instead of going round the back door.

Yeah I know, that's what I'm doing now. It's just easier to have the trip and odometer do it for you. :p

I remember looking at the MP4-12C's odometer while doing the last of all license tests - the S-10 ;)
