why is it that this track is still missing? playing infineon endurance in R8 race car 01 was the apex of gt4, how can we go on without this technically addictive track?

Same reason there are no Porsche's, another game franchise now has the licensing rights for the track.

Also why there isnt even any logos used... If you see Logos, that means that they have licenses to reproduce and use the tracks... when the licenses are gone, the logos are no longer allowed to be used (Logos are the key indicator of what they can and cant do)

I miss it too but dont expect it any time soon... Licensing on real world tracks requires politics and money... Thats the reason for the heap of original tracks they have... Nobody can take those licenses from them

I heard in an interview with the top dog that there will only be updates but no DLC for Gran Turismo 5, i just hope the source is wrong

looks like your source is wrong, because it has been said that DLC should be released every two months. Check the main page of this site for the interview that this is stated.

Hopefully the releases are tracks that have gone missing in GT5, especially the real ones. Im hoping they just wanted a lot of fresh tracks for everyone, so it doesnt seem like too much of a repeat. Then if that's the case, hopefully it also means they will go back and port the old tracks into GT5. With fully updated graphics of course, otherwise it wouldnt be worth paying for and should just be included with an update.
 
I created an account just to bump this thread. Hopefully someone from PD will see it. I REALLY want Infineon in GT5 or at least GT6. I just recently completed the Sim Raceway Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Challenge at Infineon and I can't tell you how much I want to race it in the game.
 
I miss that track alot as well as Motegi and El Captain. :( I agree with PD getting classic tracks in the game as DLC. Hoping.

As much as I hated Infineon $20 sys I'd love it now.
