Well, techicaly speaking, all Missions in GT5P ARE licence tests, but somehow different ones that were in past 6 games.
I find GT5P to be focused on two main areas that weren't existing in past GT games as far as licences are concerned: in-race behaviour and managing 15 others cars on track. All 32 licences are oriented towards learning the players how to manage different situations while racing in full-grid is present on different types of tracks. As online somponent has finally come, this is something that was expected and from my POW was executed pretty fairly.
I agreee there is no "Stop in the checkered zone" tests, or "Drive this section in 0:32 for Gold", but this elvolving Mission system is something I find very useful for all drivers, not just beggginers in the series.
As for Licences in GT5 - I presume they will be there, together with missions - as seen in GT4.
