STUTTGART, Germany — Porsche AG says an explosion at a German plant where 911 models are made has halted production of the popular cars for two to three days.

Two workers have been injured in a gas explosion early Monday at the Zuffenhausen factory. It produces 160 of its 911 models a day.

Porsche says gas leaked from a drying oven in the paint shop and ignited. The workers were taken to a hospital for treatment and later released.

geez. I'm glad no-one died. We had an explosion at a metalworking shop not far from home, no-one got hurt there, miraculously, since it was an entire propane tank that went up.

These industrial accidents are never good news for anybody. Poor Porsche. They should be able to recover fine though.

If only I could get my hands on some of the damaged parts....
